Would it be so awful if players were simply rewarded the recipe for doing a quest? Why do items available from limited time events have to be RNG? I'm 0 for 27 thus far on attempts to procure Dubious Camoran Throne from jester boxes, and I'm starting to become as grumpy(duckling) as those festival downers who we are tasked to throw flowers at.
Please consider this feedback for future festivals:
- remove RNG boxes in favor of quest rewards
- consider holiday scheduling conflicts when planning the event

But Easter is varied and has ranged from March to end of April. ZOS can't control an orthodox holiday that is all over the place while April Fools is ALWAYS the first of April.
This, not an issue with boe items however wait until end of event before buying anything.GrumpyDuckling wrote: »It's bad enough, ZOS, that you lock an awesome stamina recipe (Dubious Camoran Throne) behind a once-a-year event that runs for only 5 days, but did you also have to go ahead and schedule that event on a holiday weekend (with some players away for a few days for travel and family gatherings), and hide the aforementioned recipe behind RNG boxes?

If you don't want or can't spend the time farming RNG boxes for the recipe, you can spend a comparable amount of time farming gold to buy the recipe. It doesn't take too long to farm the cost of the recipe, and I'm sure there will be plenty for sale next week.

I get that, it's understandable. They could have started the event on April 1st, or extended the duration of the event.

It wouldn't matter when they chose to have an event, some people are going to miss out.
Considering that most of the event center around a real world holiday I don't see how they would schedule around those.
Rng is part of the game the items you seek will be available to purchase from other players if you happen to miss the event.
Bottom line is they arent going to be able to please everyone all the time. Such is life.
Looks like 100% of replies, miss the point.

I curse at RNG all the time and I often have to grind because of it but without it the desire to continuously play and grind would be gone. Ask the players on Destiny 2 how they like the game with no RNG on their weapons, most of them want it back and miss having a reason to grind. I certainly don't want this game to head down that path.
