Which one? The execute damage one or the synergy one? Have they announced others?

I'm excited to see the rest myself. :)

Almost definitely. There are 6 new traits. The bloodthirsty one will definitely affect some builds. I am thinking depending on its strength, a Magplar may run it, because of the focus on execute.

Not yet, but there are 6 new traits. Alot of possibilities. Im pretty sure one of it would be game changer for current meta.

I am working on a heavy attack DK PVP build that will benefit from the bloodthirsty trait since the DK lacks an execute. That trait in addition to the CP passive that adds damage to light and heavy attacks on targets under 25% health may pair really well together. Will have to wait and see how effective the new traits really are. It could end up being that losing the resources from the original 3 traits may not be worth it.

    Without any time reduction passives or ESO+ research times are 6h, 12h, 24h, 2d, 4d, 8d, 16d, 32d, 64d
That's per item and jewelry has 2 items. You can reduce that time up to 20% by investing skill points in passives, including the passive that caps research time at 30 days.

And that's not counting the 10% reduction from ESO plus.

And I'm sure we'll be able to buy research scrolls with vouchers like we can for other items.

the meta will change due to ZOS dev changes.....jewelry crafting wont be the reason....90-180 dev changes are always the reason....

But what is this meta talk anyways, oh...cause the devs removed overcharge and soft and hard caps long ago...gotcha

I'm pretty sure, ESO maths will destroy this. e.g. if the trait grants you 10% more dmg under 25% (numbers completely random) it will increase templar-execute DPS from 300% bonus to 310% bonus...so it's like 3% at worst.
Even worse for Nightblades and most likely strongest for sorcs (bc they have an execute without persentage-scaling) and DKs (bc no execute at all)
Magicka builds should generally benefit more than stamina, bc stamina has lots of passive-execute mechanics while magicka hasn't.

    Pvp-wise, ok...if it's THE big gamechanger idk...
PvE-wise i can only really think of one strong combination (hundings/NMG) which isn't really stronger than NMG/ophi. So it will be nice for some who can't get the jewelry but i doubt it's that much more (atleast pve-wise...could be different in pvp).

I thought it was 3 new traits, making 6 in total?

Edit: I rewatched the eso live and it's 6 new making 9 in total, but there was only mention of the bloodthirsty trait.

    Calm down Sinestro!

Also ye just a guess but lets wait out the rest of the traits: I'd say 1 harmony and 2 bloodthirsty for pve dps could be "bis" or more likely viable

Chances are they'll nerf Robust/Arcane/Healthy to balance them out against the new traits, so most likely they'll be a shift in the meta as a result.

    There was a meta/BiS-build before 1.6...

Sure there was always a best in slot but I disagree that there was a meta. @Destruent

To clarify, the game had soft and hard caps which pushed players to be diverse rather than all stam or all mag builds even with your gear you had to mix and match health, mag and or stam depending on traits, enchants and food buffs.

No longer is any of that the case which was developer driven. I recall the players pointing out “magic” was stronger than stam because most skills used mag vs stam and armor didn’t matter so everyone tended to wear mostly light...

Either way my point was long ago there were many viable build options vs now where there is truly a meta driven by the dev changes.
Release to 1.4 maybe 1.5 i forget so I’ll use your reference to 1.6 as accurate but whatever the update number it was when overcharge was removed completely and the armor changes and VR max was vr14- vr16

    meta does not exist...

    its propaganda by youtubers.
"The red pill and its opposite, the blue pill, are a popular cultural meme, a metaphor representing the choice between:

Knowledge, freedom, uncertainty and the brutal truths of reality (red pill)
Security, happiness, beauty, and the blissful ignorance of illusion (blue pill)"

Insight to Agree to Awesome Ratio = 1:6.04:2.76 as of 1/25/2019

Compared to people that I've ignored = I am 18% more insightful, 20% less agreeable, and 88% more awesome.

Two things about blood thirsty trait:
-A magSorc could benefit tremendously from it since the loss of “arcane” can be made up with the Necropotence set. Imagine Mage’s Wrath (active execute), Implosion (passive execute), and blood thirsty rings (trait execute).

    - A magDK won’t benefit from this at all since they need all the magic they can get. They don’t really have the option to use Necropotence, either. Furthermore, they have no active or passive execute to stack with blood thirsty rings...
Want to enjoy the game more? Try both PvP (crybabies) and PvE (carebears). You'll get a better perspective on everyone's opinion.
