I solo tanked VaS last night. What tips, experience and advice have others got to deal with this place as a tank?

Perhaps say which boss and what your tip is.

Eg: Lothis: Ranged taunted him but kept adds on the corner of one of his jump points so DPS could drop Ultis on them there to quick burn

for the two small bosses there isnt much stuff to care about.
for the nightblade just make sure to taunt the shadows and try to stack all three of them. everything else isnt your concern.
for the sorc boss i suggest having a gapcloser for the times he is porting, because the poison field slows extremely and you need to sta close to the boss the interrupt his multi target one hit ability. the minibosses there can be be drawn to the boss, just make sure they arent facing your group and that the group is warned, when they jump. otherwise its good, when the group has a lot of ranged dds, then this isnt a problem at all.
for the endboss, i recommend dodging a lot if his light attacks, since you dont have to heal up after each strike in that case.
boss never should face the group, since his poison breath is hitting very hard. makes sure to have a healer or dd in your back to draw the big lightning fields on him instead of you, since they always target the players in front of the boss. also i recommend slotting purge from the alliance skillline to be able to cleanse the fire dot in the fire phase (below 25%).

Your strat with Llothis is the right one for a score run. You shouldn’t really need to keep taunt up on the boss himself, but if you can while still controlling the enraged adds, so much the better. But priority here should be keeping adds out of the dps’ way so they can kill the boss quicker.
I believe Felms’ adds enrage to the point where they will kill the tank, so they have to be cleaved down while dps focus Felms. Stacking all three of them is the correct strat here.
Olms is ideally held facing the wall on either end of the oval, positioned right about so he’s standing on top of the sphere spawn on the side you’ve got him turned towards. And then yeah, it’s pretty much block and shield and move out of the steam breath. You should have somebody behind you who draws the liquid lightnings away from your position so you can sit there and Olms doesn’t swivel or chase. Purge is good for the fire phase. You should be able to just stand and block through his jumps. And for storm the heavens, I’ve found it’s easiest to not try to kite them. If you’re close enough under the boss, then you won’t have sparks follow at your feet, just the ones that the boss himself shoots out. And you should be able to just shield through this phase at that point, just watch your feet to make sure that they’re not stacking up on you.
    Hope this helps
