Should delves be solo content like the main quest?

Delves are super easy to clear and they become absolute dreadful braindead content when 1 other random joins you. Might as well make delves a solo instance. Do you agree?

I love the solo instances in Craglorn. So much fun.

Even if they didn't make the delves/public dungeons solo, they need to add a vet instance. Anyone who has their dungeon finder set to vet, would then get the vet version of the delve/PD. The content right now is a joke. You can kill the delve boss with like 4-5 light attacks, without taking any damage (base health regen is higher than the damage you take from the boss).

No, because delves aren't meant for veteran players. They're meant for newbies, too, and newbies have a harder time getting through delves. I remember being a newbie and taking WAAAAY too long to get through a simple delve because I didn't know what I was doing, had no armor sets, very few skills unlocked, and no gold to buy anything to help me. Now I can breeze through a delve super quickly, but that's sure not how it was my first few weeks of playing.

So you want everything to be single person content in an MMORPG.... Besides, some people like running delves with friends.

If you want a solo challenge run VMA or clear group dungeons solo. If that is to easy for you, try trials solo.

Casual mini-dungeons I can do with friends while farming Skyshards are a great idea. Making them solo-only would kinda suck. Though I would like to see more difficult versions of delves as an option, yes.

You can do all solo delves in Craglorn with a group if you choose to. This would be no different.

Not everyone is as awesome as you and your buddies. There are people out there who need help. (And then there are the people who play with their friends, in a group.)

I voted no because 1) I remember what it was like taking on a delve as a new player and 2) new players will ask me for help taking down the final boss because they can't do it solo.

This is an MMO. Seeing anything "solo" goes against the genre, so thankfully, there are few instances of it in the game.

No. MMO games need less instanced content not more.

That said they do need some oomph back. The fact they're easier than overland outside content is weird.

Sometimes I think people forget that TESO is an MMO.
I love the solo instances in Craglorn. So much fun.

Those group delves in Crag are group instances, not solo instances. That they are easy enough for better players to solo now isn't how they were designed--that's the byproduct of ZOS reworking the failed idea of Crag being an "adventure" zone for groups of more experienced players, which no one liked so no one played the content.
PC-NA since 2015. Tired and unimpressed.

Voted no, mainly because you want the things that are supposed to be easy by design to be harder/solo, but the content designed to be harder you simply are refusing to do....and it makes so little sense it's actually making my eyes go cross.
I saw in your comment earlier that you've put in 1k hours into ESO. How are you below level 50 with no CP?
    Something isn't right...
Like it or not, this is a MMO. Solo is fine in small doses or questing, but at the end of the day, this is a game designed for group play.
It is what it is. Want solo, go play a single player game...

Not solo instanced, but they should be a bit more difficult. Same with overland content. Some extra easy areas can be around the starting zones, the rest can be a bit tougher IMO.

Delves are a good introduction to group dungeon content and should be retained the way they are. They're a valuable stepping stone between the overland content and dungeons.

"This is an MMO." I get it- really I do. Between that and "No Auction House" I think we've covered like 80% of all statements made on these forums.

I play this game as a kind of hybrid, I think- I like having populated spaces and (sometimes inane) chat of actual people. I like transporting newbies when they request in chat. Or sending 10 iron ore. Someone made a reference to the MASH theme song the other day- made me feel like I'm not the only oldster in the place.

But I don't have regular logins and none of my contemporaries play many games. In short, I play this MMO as a solo player with occasional community interaction. I think making changes that allow for more different play styles is a positive thing. I'm certainly not against some content being out of my reach if I don't group up, but why make a change that negatively influences "non conventional MMO" playstyles?

Can't we all just get along?

When I just started the game, I relied on others in the delve to help me clear it. Plus it was my first introduction to an MMO and playing with other people. Now, as a veteran player, when I see a new player in the delve, I purposefully don’t clear it in a minute. I observe the new player and if they need a little help, I’ll provide it.

It's an MMO, I like to see others running through because that's what makes it feel like a world with other people. Many other reasons too as mentioned in other posts above. Keep them as is.

My healer can readily attest that there are quite a few newbs who need and appreciate her help in delves.

I enjoy leveling up undaunted via the daily delves and often share the dailies with friends to speed up the process.

I quite enjoy the solo delves in Craglorn and would not mind a few more of them but I prefer the bulk of delves to be non-solo. Would be fine if, say, one delve in each zone was solo like the ones in Craglorn.

What I would also like is for the solo delves to remove a group size cap. Not that I need 8 players to do them but I'm in a small guild and we enjoy fun runs sometimes. Sometimes there might be 3 of us and sometimes maybe up to 6. The solo delves have a cap of 4 meaning we don't even consider them and the resultant picking and choosing of who doesn't get to participate in our little fun runs (for all levels of characters). The solo delves give poop for loot so no one should care if I go in there with a group of 5 or 6 for social reasons.
PC NA(no Steam), PvE, mostly solo

Yes, please, make all delves Craglorn-style. It will encourage new players to gather in groups. It will allow to increase difficulty of the delves, as well as to introduce more complex boss mechanics, so veteran players again will be able to have fun exploring delves. Increase respawn timers for the mobs and bosses, alter drop rates accordingly, and, damn, even allow players to pick a difficulty level while entering the delve for better rewards! Just think about it like light version of dungeons! Here comes a traning ground for newbies, see? It will make game much better, more entertaining!
