Tanking bosses that can't be taunted

There are a few group dungeon bosses that seem to be immune to being taunted, and, as the tank, I feel I'm not contributing much to those particular fights. I'm wondering what others do when tanking in these situations. On the one hand, I can still debuff, do a bit of damage, and, being almost indestructible, rez team mates if they go down. On the other, I could re-gear before the fight and contribute more DPS. I use the alpha gear add-on, so swapping to another build before the boss is easy. Any other recommendations?

    You should still puncture and heroic slash (minor maim) for the debuffs. Always useful way to contribute but yeah you can get away with doing a half dps spec on top of that.

    My dk tank will spam igneous shield to keep the group alive so the healer can contribute more dps, and will otherwise focus on keeping some aoe damage down(eruption, blockade, and engulfing flames)

    Warden will add healing and use blockade / sub assault / arctic blast to help contribute damage.

    I just stay on my Frost Staff bar and DPS.
    So long as I keep Fracture/Breech and Maim up, no one cares.

    Taunt adds and debuff boss. There ya go.

    Have off dps setup

    Stand there and look pretty

    Maim them and debuff them

    Also some can be taunted just have to know when.

    Start off fight and get aggro on you

    you could run some support sets in those case like alkosh, torugs pact, powerful assault to supoort the damage of your group. additionally you can add some dps, you really should debuff the boss with major fracture and minor maim. you also can add healing and shields for your group members, so they can better focus on dpsing the boss down.

    Taunt adds, debuff boss is all you can do really.

    I tank on a warden now, so I'll tell the healer (if we even have one) to just do dps and I'll heal the group with leeching vines, lotus blossom, artic wind and tree ultimate.

    change to hunding rage + tfs or alkosh, use a dps rotation that includes pierce armor and heroic slash.

    Use bond on whoever has aggro and heal

    Even against the bosses you can tank you'd still want to do some of the things pointed out.
    In addition call out the windups for when boss is about to do their boss attacks.
    Use a weakening enchant on your back bar to make the healers job easier. It stacks with the Maim.
    Have a gap closer to get to problems faster or to get between the boss and your squishy friends. (Lord Wardens machine gun for instance)

    Thanks for all the suggestions. I'm already doing most of what's been mentioned - except for buffing/healing team mates. I'll prob setup another build with some of the skills mentioned and give that a try.
