What's common sense doing in an internet discussion? Did you cast necromancy on it or something?Merlin13KAGL wrote: »Just do what you enjoy, and you'll gain and eventually pass the cap. I guarantee it.
This is what I did when I came back to the game and was 300 behind.Merlin13KAGL wrote: »So long as you're not letting your enlightenment overflow (playing once every 12 days), you'll gain on the cap.
You are not going to see tremendous gains from those last CP's as you do with the first CP's.
Stats stop at 300, gear at 160, and everything is so frontloaded now that you'll be very close to the same power level at 500 as you will be at 700.

I place a piece of tape on my screen so I don't have to watch that blasted CP meter/level.
Oh yea and I just do what is fun for me and don't worry about CP.

Skyreach is instanced and this is indeed the fastest way to level. Use as many XP pots as you can as they stack with the event buff. Scrolls do too.I had a friend grind from 400-690 during the last double XP event and it took a lot of dedication to the grind but it took less time than you would think.
Many of the above posts saying "no don't grind!" don't understand that many guilds will not take people in to certain vet trials if they are not at CP cap. Whether that is right or not or whether it is elitist or not, makes absolutely no difference whatsoever because this definitely happens.
It is always better to be at max CP than to not be at max CP. The aversion that people have to grinding CP on these message boards is strange to me. You'll become a slightly better player pulling big mobs in skyreach and surviving as opposed to questing etc. which won't make you a better player in the slightest.
i believe XP is locked at 850,000 between levels.
