Total Dark is Broke

I think Total dark is broke

Cast on a sorc who could still do all his direct damage through it anyway.

cast on an NPC at the top of resource tower and they are casting direct damage through it.

    Total dark "reflect" is misleading

Pratically when you apply "total dark", if they cast a direct dmg ability, they take X dmg and heal you for Y. But the spell is still casted

NPC total dark is different becouse this skill behaved differently and they didn't change it for the npcs
I meme, but my memes are so truthful they hurt

Want competitive pvp while being outnumbered? Tough luck, the devs clearly said you have to die in those situations

I guess the descriptions from the ESO site are out dated, but I sure as hell didn't get healed from the damage.

There are two morphs. One is the right one that heals you. The other is a *** Sorc-like curse that gives the enemy free cc immunity

this is where I went for the descriptions.

Total dark reads (this is the one I chose)

Envelop enemy in a lightless sphere that reflects back any harmful projectile they cast back at them for 3.5 seconds. Each reflected spell heals you for [y].
You also place volatile magnetic energy on the target which explodes after 3.5 seconds, dealing [x] Magic Damage to them and nearby enemies.
You are healed for each spell reflected.

I read this as "he casts crystal frags at me, I wont be damaged but I should get a heal. I took damage anyway.

    Unstable core reads

Place volatile magnetic energy on an enemy which explodes after 3.5 seconds, dealing [x] Magic Damage to them and nearby enemies.
No longer reflects spells back to the enemy, instead the explosion deals significantly increased damage.

There is your problem. Dont read fextralife. There are things outdated even back to 2016. Read uesp for most updated information:

    This.

Total Dark/Unstable Core are strong when used in melee range and you force your enemy to decide by using another stun/status effect.

For example, purifying light + meteor + unstable core will force your enemy to either break free or block , shutting them out of offense completely.

But most of the time they cc break early; which is why the skill sucks compared to pre-morrowind when the ability was in a good place with the forced-bubble mechanic.
