I wouldn’t mind account wide books but only because when first playing I didn’t know about books so missed some that are now stuck behind completed quests with doors. If there is a way to revisit those I’d be just as happy tbh
Everything will be alright in the end, if its not alright its not the end.

Make it an option and you've got my vote. :)
In my opinion, only as an Option, like he said

I like the idea of adding the locations of the lorebooks and skyshards to the map after collecting them. But otherwise meh, just collect them. Need to level up everything else anyways.

Don't think giving them all away would work well. (skyshards and lorebooks)

Maybe could just speed up the process, like you work on a region and if you have cleared it before on another character, once you get say 1/2 of the skyshards/lorebooks, it auto-completes the rest of them. (if you want, can be an option)

I personally do get tired of hunting down skyshards but this kind of stuff does bring about a better flow and feel to the world and the game, along with other stuff.

Now the mount/stable skilling, that should be for all characters. That is nothing but a chore.

As much as I love to re collect 1000 collectables it would be nice to only have to do this once per account. Nothing burns out new users more than a necessary grind to make other characters viable.

    Uhm. No.

I've just about 'finished' my main character in every way that I currently can - most content save end-game PvE and Cyrodiil - a couple of days ago, and have been aimlessly wandering around since, trying to figure out what to do. Took me a couple of minutes before I realized I could hop onto one of my other beloved characters, and start skyshard hunting to get him the skill points he needs for some exciting plans that I have. So I did. And I like that skyshard hunting, because I'll do the delves, dolmens etc. that I come across while running from one to the other.. Do some gathering on the way, some quests here and there. I love the overland areas so running around in them is by no means a punishment for me. All good fun.

Making those skyshards (and lorebooks) account-wide would completely ruin that experience. It would also take away any incentive for those new characters to step into any delve (among others), as they already got the skyshard from their main character. Boo.

P.S.: I have never met a new user who instantly (or even soon-ish, for that matter) started working on alts. So I don't see how new users get burnt-out from having to 'grind' other characters. My experience with new players is that they generally stick to their first for some time. Most people I've seen asking for account-wide skyshards were long-time players focussed on PvP, who did not look forward to making yet another run across the continent just to get their nth character viable/ready for whatever purpose they had in mind.

Skyshards grant skill points and lorebooks grant some experience in mages guild skill like. So there is no point in making them account wide. You are supposed to play the game and achieve skill points and stuff, not get them all just because you are too lazy to collect them.

I would be open to a lot of the achievements being account wide; however, anything that gives points or boosts a skill line wouldn't make much sense in leveling. The game has already been made to easy by many of the nerfs to bosses like Dosha.

Sorry no - play the game.

Want Alts then run the content. No reason to have a MAXed level character just because you have played through the content before.

    Pretty obvious reason?

What will stop someone from creating hundreds of maxed out crafter toons to get daily materials etc.

Maxed out crafter toons? You realize lorebooks and skill points would have nothing to do with levelling your crafts to 50 right? Also the same reason people dont have that many npw ots behind a paywall.

You realise that you assign skill points you acquire from quests and Skyshards to crafting skills right?

Getting crafting to level 50 is not great effort. I've done it in an afternoon.

I know ... I have 8x crafters which I am more than happy to run across Nirn to get skyshards with.

The exploit via the daily materials exists if skillpoint leveling is instant. Period. Tell me it won't be exploited. I'm listening. There is tons of money to be made from these items.

I think as a character discovers skyshards they should be shown on the map account wide. Same with lorebooks and Wayshrines. Console here so no add ons.

Hunting skyshards on alts just is not fun, at least for me.

^ this ^ Xbox player. Console users have no mods. Agree, as one of your characters discovers these, it should be "unlocked" and shown on map for all your characters. Think of it as main or alt writing to the others - look what I found, I've enclosed a map.

This 100% I want to prioritise my (limited) playing time to actually doing new or enjoyable content. It’s not ‘lazy’ to not want to endlessly run about collecting stuff which we have already collected on previous toons. It’s a quality of life change.

There is no one or proper, way we are ‘supposed’ to play. Calling everyone lazy who doesn’t want to play your way is harsh.

OMG this! Seriously, this is the same thing as the datacrons in SWTOR, and there were far less of those to collect. It is seriously about time they were account wide, and if ppl are afraid of new toons having access to so many points, then they could be released 5 per level or something like that.

Not really, people replied the same way you guys do on swtor when people wanted datacrons to be account wide, and eventually BW realized it is a pain in the ass to collect them over and over.

I believe that was changed a while ago so that the books also show up outside of quest areas. For example, books from the Fighter's Guild quest can be found at the Fighter's Guild.

Make it so the locations are added to your map account wide after discovering the location of a skyshard or lore book.

    This is what should happen.

Once you have them once, they appear on maps (optional of course) for other characters.

Even if just for lorebooks. Do you know how annoying it is on Xbox to have your phone beside you trying to get mage guild. Seriously, it's pathetic. Especially since I've done it 11 times :(

Shouldn't be accohnt wide though. But the first time should be the big grind, rest shouldn't be as bad.

Why don't we just sell instantly maxed characters in the crown store. That would solve the issue you are facing. Win/win situation. We get it so easy it is boring and Zos makes some bank. 25k crowns each.

Yes, and clicking 400 rocks for the 10th time is so HARDCORE. That one time, you wouldn't believe what happened to me when I tried to get a Skyshard - I *** you not, but I MISSCLICKED. It was the most intense thing ever. Never mind vet trials - those are for babies. Real men click rocks and books for hours to no end, because that's HARDCORE, DEEP and ENGAGING content.
