Does Concealed Weapon need to be tweaked?

Hey there!

I was curious about everyone's general opinion on Concealed Weapon as a spammable ability for melee Magicka Nightblades. I'm using it in my build, but I feel it doesn't compare well to Surprise Attack, mainly because the cost of the ability is so comparatively high. I generally don't feel comfortable running this without either a 5-piece Seducer's or Alteration Mastery set, and that's with Light Armor, cost reduction glyphs, and liberal use of heavy attacks.

Do you guys have a different take, or some tips that might help that I haven't considered? Do you feel a change at the mechanical level is warranted? Would love to hear from y'all!

:)

Your spammable as a magicka nightblade should be strife/funnel health, not concealed weapon.
    PS4 / NA
    M'asad - Khajiit Nightblade - Healer
Pakhet - Khajiit Dragonknight - Tank
Raksha - Khajiit Sorcerer - Stamina DPS
Bastet - Khajiit Templar - Healer
Leonin - Khajiit Warden - Tank

You have no idea about this so don't interfere in the discussion. Concealed is the spammable for pvp meele magblades.
The ability is good and gives you good mobility but it's kinda expensive however i don't feel there is need to buff it.

Do you have some tips on its appropriate use in a dueling build?

My front bar has Impale, Lotus Fan, Concealed Weapon, Crippling Grasp, and Incapacitating Strike (with one flex spot). I LOVE the way it drives, but the fuel consumption is...rough.

Am I not building correctly, or is this bar setup something I should only be attempting on a Stamina build with the appropriate morphs instead?

    Thanks for the input!

Concealed weapon is very expensive if you playing melee you are going to 100% need a sustain set. I won't even play one without 2500 regen. It really does need to be cheaper for what it does. The damage is only ok. Especially after you lower your damage to be able to sustain the ability

The only sustain set I use is Amber and vMA resto

@NyassaV on PC/NA if you need help

I used to use Alteration mastery as it's a very soild set, I love it so much. However it's a damage loss and would be better off with using Amberplasm + 1 magic regen glyph. As a Melee magblade you have the best sustain skill so you can build into damage more

    Yes i have one.
I run Maw of the infernal+ seducer (only front bar)+ necro and back bar malstrom restro

    Full wpn dmg glyphs
Tristat glyphs on the big pieces

Frontbar: Foucs, siphoning strikes (stamina version), cloak concealed weapon, fear Incap

Focus as a nuke, siphoning is often enough to sustain stamina if you don't spam dodge and use cloak as a way to Kite+ if you use fully charges heavy attacks from time to time
Cloak, fear, incap are self explanatory

Backbar: Flex spot (maybe funnel health, entropy, double take, mark, etc) shadow image, healing ward, cripple, mutagen( only when you use malstrom restro)

This build has high damage and good sustain, Maw of the infernal is very strong and also makes it harder to keep track of you+ he'll get focused from time to time thus taking pressure from you

You can change seducer for Lich i just didn't had 2 Lich swords

Siphoning attacks isn't really all that great of a sustain ability though. I do use it though, sometimes I'll use leeching for stamina sustain. Currently I play a few variations of melee. 5 riposte, 5 shacklebreaker 1 Domi, with 2 Magicka regen glyphs, and I play 5 shacklebreaker, 5 necro, 1 Domi with 3 tri-glyps, and two regen glyphs both builds are 2hand resto. I play solo PvP so my regen numbers will always be on the higher side. If you play in a group you can definitely drop your regen some.

Not many are going to help you with an attitude like that.

    Concealed weapon
    time on bar: 100%
    time of use: 0%

    Strictly a passive.

Yes. It needs a Lower cost, but that's all. Probably is Surprise attack that needs to lose major fractured for minor

I'd drop Lotus Fan for (if you're not already using it in flex spot) Cloak. Lotus Fan is quite expensive for not much damage. To gap close, Crippling Grasp -> Cloak -> run at em.

That's the key, in a melee magblade build, using a poor gapcloser is a lost of skill since major expedition + 25% mouvement speed while cloaked will bring you very quick to the target.
