Just curious what your thoughts are on a rule of thumb for point distribution?

Put all of them in either stamina or magicka to maximize the benefit for skills that scale stamina or magicka. The only people who need points in health are high-health tank builds and new players who feel they need more health to be comfortable in combat.

For end-game content, you want about 18k health, which is generally achieveable with passive, gear, food/drink and geoup buffs.

Stack your primary resource. If you need to alter stuff later do it with food.

Like the others said. As a reference, an attribute point gives you about 115 of that resource. So an armor glyph on a vet character is equivalent to almost ten attributes. This is why people stack...you can swap glyphs around much easier if you ever need to exchange resources on a character.
