Oh?Then you can opt to not use it. This whole "I don't like it so no one should have it" way of thinking is just really bad.

How about they add pay to win stuff then?
People could still opt to not use it, right?
And if this whole "I don't like it so no one should have it" way of thinking is just really bad... then it should not be a problem for those who think that sort of thing would demean the game for them, right?
...because that's basically the gist of your argument.
I happen to think a game is -better- if you cannot "specialize in everything" through templates, but have to make -choices- and then play with some drawback somewhere.
Of course, its a matter of degree. I mean, I would not complain overly much if they did it like the outfit system... have the first "template" free, and charge people through the nose for the second - 5000 crowns per additional "template" and I will be quiet. Of course, that -would- be stepping close to pay to win anyhow, would it not?

You should have to choose to either specialize for PvE and then perform subpar in PvP, or specialize for PvP and then loose some PvE effectiveness, or pick some half-half setup and then can do well enough but not exceptional in both...
And not have multiple setups that allow you to pick "the best" for each occasion and avoid -any- drawbacks.

i agree with this...
choices have consequences, live with it.

Changing gear and swaping skills in town or out of combat are not and have never been permament or heavily invested choices.
