thoughts on second morph for abilities?

So never posted this, but I always thought it would be cool if we could morph abilities a second time after we already had. It would increase player diversity and change up old abilities. But what's the general consensus of this because I'm not aware if it's been talked about much.

I would much rather see a 3rd morph option than two tiers of morphs. A 3rd morph would be a great way to introduce more Stam variations to class abilities, which are pretty barebones at the moment. Just generally more variations on abilities so you can choose between more utility, dots, healing, burst damage, etc. depending on what role you're trying to fulfill.

Also, I'm aware that the damage meta will call for one setup specifically, but that's to be expected. In an ideal case, ability morphs would be designed such that there are USEFUL tradeoffs that might be valuable to take over simply more raw damage output.

People can't even agree on the current morphs we have, so I assume that having 4 morphs per skill would be twice the headache ;)

It would not increasy any diversity. In the end there is one BiS. And that's where it all converges to. The game, back in 2014, was meant to be played the way you want. It's not like that at all.

...no thanks, I would much rather see them let us morph our classes themselves for greater diversity!
But I would say that, would I not, considering: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/369966/class-morph-idea-mk-ii ;)

I dont think you understand what 'play the way you want' means. You can play how you want but that doesnt mean it will be the best mathematically. If I want to be a sorcerer with heavy armor wielding a bow I can do that, it doesnt mean it will be just as strong as other combinations. I would still be able to complete all the story line quests without a problem.

Vet dungeons and trials are a different story ofc.

Is this another #nerfSorcs and #NerfNightblades thread? ;)

But no, I have thought about the morphs staying as they are except make one stamina cost and one magic cost so it can create a wide variety of builds but at the same time, it would probably destroy another star in the universe and suck and destroy more in the ESO world. So in the grand scheme of things, ZOS would probably only break more if they tried this route.

Nobody is stoping you from playing how you want. You can run around 0cp if you want. Up to you..

This game did not originally have a stamina/magicka divide. It was intended as play the way you want. Meaning every skill and morph was a benefit for every character archetype, be it magicka or stamina. This has been completely abadoned.

Now stuff like dungeon finder (where you are voluntarily assigning yourself a role) is and always has been role derived.

The did not intend running around with 0 CPs to be meant with the saying play the way you want.
