Can we please have both of our weapons displayed on our character at once?

I don't know the technical difficulties of implementing it but it just seems silly I can't see my bow and my daggers at the same time. Anyone else pretty bugged by this? Is there any explanation?

I like it in principle, but how does that work with 2 bows? or 4 1-handed weapons?

    Clipping.

Other than Daggers, all other weapons go to the back when stowed. Well, the Sword goes to the hip, but the Shield goes to the back. All those instruments of mayhem would just be clipping into each other. And, you get to watch it happen as you run around in the world.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

I wouldn't mind this being an option, as long as it was just an option, although I doubt I'd ever use it myself.

I often run around with my smallest weapon/s selected just because it bugs me to have a huge shield, bow, staff, hammer or whatever when I'm in town. It'd be really annoying if I had to actually unequip it in order to get rid of it.

It would look pretty silly for tanks. 2 swords, 2 shields. I'm not even sure how they would display that aside putting the back bar shield in front. You could pretend you're a turtle maybe?

Yeah I get that'd be awkward with those combos. I guess I was meaning more with the combinations that make sense like sword and board plus staves. Two staves can work. 4 1 handed weapons would be pretty weird so keep it as it is. Just the option would be nice.

I always find it odd that staves have that magical static cling that hold them to your back.

Easy: you only see one set at a time if they are the same type.

    Agree.

And I also think it’s to inform player, which bar they have active. I use this as visual reminder. Even if I have dual staves, I try to make sure they have different looks.

Across the back. The mechanics are already in place, if you notice - A sorcerer casting frags will put both weapons he's wielding on his back, whether it's two swords or sword and shield.

I really, really wish they'd implement this.

Also, LOTRO does it and it looks pretty awesome :)

It'll look good only with some combinations. Just think about two staves on the back, for example. And regarding staves, I dream about cool 'summon from the Oblivion' animation for staves on swap/unsheathing, without even carrying them on the back.

Only certain combinations of weapons would work.

It would throw me off as bar swap visuals is what my eye sees first when in combat.

Witcher style. Backbar gets slightly moved. Only one i see trouble with is having 2 shields.

Only if it’s a toggle. I use my weapon to tell which bar I’m on in combat so I’m not constantly looking down.

    Oh that's a good point.

I had a weird bug the other day where my warden was shown using daggers even if I actually had her staff selected and it kept on confusing me because the staff bar has completely different skills. I had to log out and back in to stop it happening because I kept hitting the wrong buttons.

But maybe if you'd selected an option to display both sets and were therefore expecting them all to show up it would be easier to adjust to it?

I'd like to point out that the animation for holstering weapons is often very unrealistic. Back holstering a weapon often means it is not at the ready for combat. There's a reason that Samurai, Knights, and other warriors round the world wore the sword at their hip. Larger weapons were often draped over the shoulder or mounted by horse or were simply held in hand.

Had this happen last night, only on one character. Swapping between resto and 1h/S but he'd never show the resto staff, even when casting. Always had 1h/S equipped visually no matter which weapon I swapped to, even after I replaced the 1h/s with destro staff.

Throwing fireballs is unrealistic too, but we're ok with that.
