Maintenance for the week of April 6:
• PC/Mac: No maintenance – April 6

Jewelcrafting is probably the most game changing thing they've added in years.

You can change the trait on all jewelry now via Transmutation. That means EVERY single Heavy Armor set now will be able to have its trait changed to Stamina/Magicka or one of the 6 new traits.

How precisely are they going to implement jewelry transmutation? Are they going to wreck it like they did armour/weapon transmutation? Because that system is an abomination that should never have seen the light of day.

Not sure how it is wrecked. I am just hoping the jewerly crafting won't require outrageous amount of mats.

ZoS wrecked it by making it an end-game player thing instead of a crafting thing, which it is and should be. 99% of players will never see a transmutation stone other than the free ones they get with new characters and that's wrong. And I'll bet they'll stuff up jewelry crafting too.

Huh? They’re amazingly easy to get. PvP is one of the best ways to do it as well.

No, actually they're not. ZoS made sure to make them ridiculously hard to get for 99% of players. Only high end-gamers and PVPers have any sort of access and it's disgraceful.

Um... What? Its very easy to get transmutation stones. Doing PvP is the easiest and fastest way to get them. You can start PvPing at level 10. Then you have normal dungeons, normal arenas, normal trials, battlegrounds, etc. Very easy to get. Plus you only ever need the transmutation once you're past CP160, before that its utterly useless.

Were gonna need it. But I also feel that being able to change jewelry traits is going to lead us into a new meta pretty quickly and heavy armor is going to be even more OP unless they do something about it.

PVP is a different game and the drop rate in things like normal dungeons got nerfed to hell about five minutes after the system was released. ZoS have made it so abundantly clear they're aiming transmutation at end gamers and PVPers and stuff the rest that I can't understand why anybody would argue. It's a fact. But I say it's a bad, bad system because its emphasis is entirely misplaced. The emphasis should be on crafters. And likewise jewelry transmutation should be about crafters but it won't be, which is why I say it will be as wrecked as the current transmutations system is.

and it doesn't require anything but the trait unlocked which most players can do for free basically.
