As the title says, are you upset that Morrowind is now sort of free for pre-ordering Summerset?
Please note that most of us old Morrowind owners have the exclusive Nix ox mount for owning Morrowind before now

I didn't give any thought to the idea that it might be available for crowns or for free after a certain amount of time. I pre-ordered Summerset today with the same mind set. I want it, I bought it and come May 21, I'll be able to play it. I'm also really excited about it!

Uh you paid for it early and got to enjoy it for a long time. Feel free to wait a year but you won't be playing in that time. I bought a PS4 back when it released for $400 and people can buy them for half price now but I got 3+ years worth of playing it for the price I paid.15 -

✭✭I don't careI personally bought Morrowind first on console and then on PC when I switched. I don't regret the money I've spent on it. If I'm paying for something that gives me enjoyment, I'm going to be happy with what I bought. The fact that Morrowind is free now was quite predictable and if it brings more players into the game, then its great. Plus keep in mind that Morrowind is only free with the Pre-Order of Summerset. Once Summerset goes live, Morrowind won't be free no more.@ Izaki #PCEU

I'm always in favor of consumer friendly policies. to me this is an equivalent of being upset that the game you bought some time ago at full or near full price.. is a game offered with PS Plus for free... for a month.
for the record. I wasn't upset when the cost of morrowind was reduced across the board. and I wasn't upset every time it went on sale either. why? becasue I got to play it when I wanted to play it and I am old enough and have been a consumer of all sorts of things, not just games - to realize that THIS IS HOW THESE THINGS WORK.dirty worthless casual.

✭✭✭Kinda upsetKinda upset - paid $40 for Morrowind digital upgrade. Didn't get a mount, only got a pet I will never use, and the "treasure maps" were broken for so long they were essentially useless. Still haven't played battlegrounds as I'm not a PvP player and all I hear is "pre-made groups win, don't bother if you're not good at PvP."
It's nice ZOS lowered the price on supposedly more area to explore, AND give you a free expansion PLUS a mount, but that makes it seem like early adopters are just ZOS chumps. Be excited for ESO so we can milk you to give free *** away later when we lose player base with an overpriced, overhyped expansion that was mostly PvP and the PvE players were pissed.
Kinda like launch...my Scuttler is named "PRE-ORDER EXCLUSIVE" and my monkey is "PLAYED IN BETA". Mounts seem the opposite - better buy it in the Store, or you'll just be out more later for *&^#$^&%&@#$ crates.

✭OtherI figured that would be the case eventually. I mean, imagine how daunting it would look to a new player in 3 years from now wanting to play all of the content, and even with ESO plus, still having to buy 5 chapters for $40 each. As the game gets older, older content will probably start being included into the base game, just like Skyrim's legendary edition containing all of the DLC for the price that the original Skyrim was originally at release. In 3 years, someone will probably be able to buy ESO for $60 dollars and get the first 3 chapters or so included, maybe even some of the DLC too.1 -

✭OtherIt is not a surprise, many games do this. On one hand you think, well if I just waited but I did make the decision to buy when I did. As more are released the long standing customers will move more to waiting longer to add them, if they do.
I think it is good to offer past items to keep the game as a whole vital and healthy. Having a continued high price entry point for past releases will drive away potential new players,0 -

If you want to skip every other chapter to get two for one you're free to do so. Content loses value over time. Things get bundled for a fraction of the cost, or are made free. This is standard for MMO's as you wouldn't get new players coming to a game if they had to pay for every expansion. If you have patience you can save money.PC/EU DC6 -
