I was collecting all Light sets, because you never know what might be useful. But since the transmutation update, I deconstructed or sold everything except jewelries and some weapons. Now, I keep only useful sets or sets that are hard to get (Master Weapons, Monster Sets, some trial gear...). But I still have 5 mules full of gear xD

It's a good set to start a healer off.

I call it MMO OCD. I don't have any hoarding issues in RL, but it happens to me in every MMO... ESO, with its plethora of options, has been the worst by far.

I have probably had over 1,000,000 unproductive "I might need that!" events in this game.

Im like that in Eve Online, over 10 years i acquired over 10k items( counting a stack as 1) well over 300 stations in over 100 solar systems. I never threw anything away really because you have pretty much unlimited storage. Its a hoarder's dream.

In game like this were they restrict your inventory, i learned that unless i want to spend all my time doing inventory management and constantly evaluating the worth of items i have to items i need room for its far less stressful to assume that if i acquired it once i can get it again therefore i should get rid of it unless im going to use it. So much better than doing inventory management constantly.

In real life im anti hoarder though. I have a 12 month rule in real life. If i dont use something in 12 months, It and I are parting ways. Places like goodwill and thrift shops love me.

And proud of it. A lot of people make a tool to fit a use or circumstance. I make the circumstance to fit the tool, and in this case that means making builds for the hell of it, and finding a use to apply them to later.

To that end, I try to hold onto as many full sets of gear as possible. I have a personal guild bank dedicated to this, though lately it's more than half-full of Rewards for the Worthy gear that I should probably clear out.

Unfortunately yes, this makes me sad as half of my 13 characters are doomed to be nothing more than pack slaves of other more lucky half, while I want them become actual playable characters of new stories, but now they burdened by full backpack.
Slowly I free one by one of them from this doom, by various methods:
Better management with Inventory Insight and Auto Category
    http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info1798-AutoCategoryInventoryGridViewIntegrated.html
    http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info731-InventoryInsight.html
Expanded storage with CraftBag and Storage Coffers, freeing space by decon transmutable items and lower quality items.
I even have own guild with personal guild bank and second account full of trained argonian slaves just for carry my items.
With all of these methods, I was able free few additional characters from curse of beast of burden, but other still lament for freedom, I think about purchasing additional argonian slaves again, still they half as useful as can only hold unbound items.

four storage vaults so far, three of them are full with monster sets only, even some v14 ones. I dont even know if i will ever will use most of those sets, i have 12 characters, most have 160 slots and are always close to max capacity, many sets i have i dont even use and are double/triple, you never know if it will be the next bis set. Even the furniture recipes i allready known on different characters are stacking up in my vault. I try hard to manage all my inventory space but i fail hard.

My dream is unlimited vault space.

    (keep dreaming)

Maybe. Part of the problem is that I do have a lot of lower level characters that I've sort of accumulated stuff for. But I don't use characters as mules, I have some free slots in the bank and haven't maxed housing storage at all yet. I do regularly go through and try to revisit which sets I don't see likely ever to be useful (hello Prayer Shawl) - those ones I don't keep anything for. Sets I don't really have a plan for I keep mostly jewelry and weapons that make sense (no Battle Axe of Mending for me TYVM), as body pieces tend to be much easier to get hold of. BOE sets if I don't have a near term use for them mostly get sold if they're worth something.

I keep everything with "devine" trait for DD-Stuff, "sturdy" for Tank-Stuff and some pieces in "fulfilled" (this +attributeincrease) for Healer-Stuff.

The rest need to be deconstructed or sold.

But yeah: More Bankspace is always good! Put all the things in! Even the fish!

I should subscribe to ESO Plus for the Crafting Bag bonus, but I don't want access to DLC dungeons in my random daily dungeon rotation; those alone annoy me to no end. So I bite the bullet and keep all my crafting items on the character I like the least until they give a free week trial of ESO Plus to clear my bags and avoid random dungeons during that time.

very much a hoarder - in every rpg ever. I can't help it. MUST LOOT EVERYTHING. what if I need it later? I do try to keep at least some semblance of order in my bags .. and some free space, but... yeah... I can no longer imagine playing without craft bag. no. I lie, I can, but it would be rough for me.
    dirty worthless casual.

I kept the last fish I needed for Master Angler. I collect the blue recipe "Grape Glazed Bantam Guar" I think I have about 15 of them? I also save a lot of armor and jewelry. Just because I don't need it right now, maybe I will  Another reason I hoard is because I find stupid cheap stuff all the time in the traders, especially materials. So when anyone in my guild or my friends need something, I got them covered. I like sharing the wealth :)

I think the dumbest thing I knowingly keep is green recipes my 12 current characters all already know. They can get maybe 30g at best in a guild store. I have no plans of buying the last 3 slots (though I have 9k crowns with nothing compelling to spend them on beyond the merchant).

On the bright side, at least they stack.

I was in skyrim. I kept everything.

But in ESO, at launch the bank space and bag space was so tiny, and you had to keep all the crafting materials in there... I got used to not keeping most things.

Now i have much more space, but I have a bunch of motifs and runeboxes from events, but that's about it. I bought a storage coffer and haven't put anything in it... I should start hoarding more...

Nope, I keep item sets when one of my chars need it and I only keep the best traits I have for a piece, for example: I have infused TFS gloves and I get divines TFS gloves, I keep the divines and trash the infused. If someone wants a some piece which I do not currently have need for, I gladly trade it to him (like SPC pieces).

I sell my valuable items trough guildstore (like potent nirncrux) and keep/vendor the less valuables. I always vendor the CP10-140 materials.

I have 3x big furniture storage chests and only 1 of them is full. In my stam sets chest I have something like 45 items and in my mag sets chest I have 46 items. My monster sets chest is full. I plan to put heal/tank items into 1 more chest and then use the small ones to contain crafting surveys, repair kits, soul gems, lockpicks and other misc. items. When I finally get my chests I'll use the bank as material cache.
