Do you keep things you should't have? Would others throw it away? Do you need more bank space? Have you already filled up housing storage?

This game is different in end-game compared to most. Most other mmo's have a level-based BiS for every class, and older gear is immediately garbage after a new update with a level increase. Gear is also class-specific in most other mmo's meaning your character only has to keep one or two sets depending on their role.

In ESO every set has the potential to be useful and all classes can use all sets so you tend to want to keep many of them in case something gets buffed or nerfed.

Now that we have transmutation though I am finding less need to keep the "perfect trait" sets since now you can pick up any traited version of it and simply transmute it.

Ironically the storage saved by not keeping those sets are being filled up by transmutation geodes, lol.

No, not any more at least.

I used to try and keep all the dungeon sets with best traits but since transmutation it's easy to gear up a dungeon set. I mostly now just hold onto Maelstrom/Master weapons and gold jewellery.

Nope, if i acquired it once, i can acquire it again. I have ESO plus and dont even hoard crafting mats. I keep a stock of 500 of each crafting item. As soon as something hits 600, i sell a half stack.

Nay and I never shall. I keep the essential weapons and armour, jewels until As a new player I am not bothering about crafting and I cannot even afford but the cheapest possible dwelling place. I sell absolutely everything except potions, drinks or particular housing items I won from chests, I kept a few. When I started my tale I was farming obsessively and collecting anything and Was annoyed by the lack of space and constant need of deconstruction process and selling, so I decided to keep only which is truly necessary. I will only want coin to purchase decent house which will happen sooner or later. I have less than ten items within the bank.

I am a horrible hoarder and it really impacts my enjoyment of the game. I returned to the game for a one month sub during the last event, rejoined a decent trade guild, and have been dumping everything. I had a ton of gear reserved for alt research and I decided to just focus on finishing research for 2 alts. I also deconned a ton last night on a 4th alt.

It is silly how much gear I have from The Gold Coast in various inventories. I even have a personal guild bank that is pretty much full. My main bank (with a sub) is also full because of so much bound gear.

I have the free storage from leveling an alt recently. I also have over 200 vouchers now to buy more storage. I have a lot more master writs I can do, including some of the better ones that require going to the proper crafting stations. I have sworn off using mules. It is way too much work and ruins my enjoyment of the game.

As is normal with hoarders, I keep way too many set pieces, though I have no idea if they would ever be worth using.

Nope. If I had ESO+ (and therefore crafting materials went into the craft bag) my bank would be almost empty.

I don't like farming random drops so I decided early on I'll just use crafted gear. I'm never going to do high-end veteran trials or whatever where I need absolute BiS gear. That makes things easy, unless I can use a drop right now I deconstruct it or sell it.

I did keep the staff you get for completing the Rivenspire storyline because I really enjoyed that one and was genuinely touched when I found out they'd given me the staff. I'm hoping one day I'll be able to display it in my house like I do with special weapons in other TES games.

I do have treasure maps piling up, because I keep saying I'll use them when I'm going to the zone for something else instead of making a special trip, then forgetting. But I'm planning to use them all one weekend.

You don't know which sets you previously undervalued, or which will become useful next patch. I keep many, but not all, in various stages of completeness, particularly if they're BoP. Probably threw some good stuff away that could now be transmuted. I also got tired of re-crafting levelling gear, so one chest is dedicated to low-level crafted sets and hard-enough-to-find low-level Willpower / Agility jewelry. Next holiday XP buff event might see another character.

I suppose it makes sense to save training gear under max level. I was saving useful sets for leveling back in the day and found it wasn't worth taking a break from playing to put the better sets on. Overwold drop sets were fine.

I call it MMO OCD. I don't have any hoarding issues in RL, but it happens to me in every MMO... ESO, with its plethora of options, has been the worst by far.

I have probably had over 1,000,000 unproductive "I might need that!" events in this game.

None of my character has more than 80/200 inventory, most of them have only 50-60, since they only carry their gear sets, a few stacks of consumables - food/drinks, potions, soul gems, lock-picks - and in some cases also 2-3 gear pieces crafted for research so I can start as soon as the previous slot(s) are freed up. This way I only need to go to the NPC merchant, bank, crafting station to deconstruct every few hours and can enjoy more time actually playing instead of managing the inventory.

I usually sell/deconstruct everything, unless it's a gear piece I need immediately, or I may need for one of my 1st or 2nd line characters. I kept quite a large selection of gear I had acquired over they years, and now it's taking about 750 slots across 4 characters, but I really don't feel pressure there; probably around 1/3 will be broken down over the next few months because the sets turned out not to be very useful, and don't have the potential to become so. Also even if the sets are good, or at least interesting, some slots are useless - for example I have no use for bows from stamina sets since I have plenty of Maelstrom ones and I can farm Master even easier (higher chance for it to drop to one or more out of 4 people). Another reason is how I group the gear on my chars: a "top" a "bottom" and a monster set, in such a way that I can use almost any combo of = 2 x 5 piece sets + monster set (full or half) on any character, so the "top" pieces from a set I use as "bottom" are no longer necessary.

I recently started selling low level materials that had accumulated in my craft bag from the daily writs. I also sell every cooking recipe, furnishing or furnishing blueprint that has already picked up by my master crafter, and it's worth selling; otherwise I learn it on one of the other chars - really no point in selling the common blue recipes or green furnishing blueprints that are worth around 100 gold. At this moment about half of my bank is taken up by surveys and treasure maps, and I also have a lot of master writs stored on several chars. But this is not hoarding for the sake of hoarding, but rather I've come to the conclusion that those are more efficiently done in bulk. For example picking up multiples of the same surveys takes less time, since you just ride 50 m away and return when it resets until the stack is exhausted, and picking all surveys and maps from a given zone is more time efficient than going after each. Also pre-crafting consumable writs in bulk and turning them in in short order takes considerably less than traveling back and forth to the crafting station for each; even more so for the gear ones, even if the stations are all grouped in the guild hall, since porting takes time.

I was collecting all Light sets, because you never know what might be useful. But since the transmutation update, I deconstructed or sold everything except jewelries and some weapons. Now, I keep only useful sets or sets that are hard to get (Master Weapons, Monster Sets, some trial gear...). But I still have 5 mules full of gear xD
