Set learning, what you think about that ?

fxeconomisteb17_ESO
I was just thinking that this would solve a lot of problems with inventory and grinding.
I am thinking at the ability to learn set pieces.
For instance, you get a Dreugh King chest. You can use it, transmute and so on, but you should also have the opportunity to learn it.
Learning it would destroy it, but you'll know to produce Dreugh King chests. Just the chests. If you want any other, you have to grind for it.
Advantages:
1. you don't need to store it
2. you don't have to re-grind later
3. you can produce Dreugh King as any type (light, medium, heavy)
Disadvantage: produced Dreugh King would not be tradeable with other players (just for own use).

What you guys think about that ?
"Is it true her wounds healed on their own ? Yes" No s***, at 75% health regen penalty!

I was a vampire like you, but then I took an idea to the head...

I think that making dropped sets craftable and able to be used in any weight would be broken and detrimental to game balance. Also jewelry crafting would be necessary to make this work.

Here's my solution to grinding and inventory: understand that most sets are useless. Focus on the sets that you actually want to use and save those. Ditch the ones you don't. Contrary to what I sometimes want, this isn't Elder Scrolls Online: Hoarders Edition.

I would love if something like this were possible. It would be great to see alongside jewelry improvement/crafting.

#3 would likely create some PVP problems though. Players would just make current light/medium sets as heavy and we'd have even more ultra-tanky, great sustaining, hard-hitting builds all rolled into one.

I thought it was a good idea, but then they made the transmutation crystals and I am happy with that solution.

    Grinding sucks.

Yeah I am also a bit of a hoarder, I use all my master writs on chests to feed my hoarding issue...

Okay Varanis you have inspired me to rip apart some more junk... like why have I got Treasure hunter divines pieces stored as long as inner light exists no one will ever want it.

Heh, I've got some Essence Thief laying around and I know that's a terrible set but one of these days I'm gonna try it out plus like 5 different non-meta healer sets and no I'm not a hoarder why would you ever think that? :)

Indeed what would that make me with last count over 120 set pieces. I can name every support set in game though and how it works on each class so ...guess it's okay. Not a hoarder but specialist.

This would have to have been a Day One feature to sort out all the separate mechanics of this system and design all future sets with those mechanics in mind. At this point in the game, it's just begging people to grab a six-pack and farm dungeons until they can piece out the month's meta. And then throw tantrums when Adhazabi doesn't give them their gold jewelry in a timely fashion.

So, basically, what people are already doing...

All the sets would have to be rebalanced. They dont want us mixing certian sets right now. Thats why you can only wear one crafted set at a time.

Nope. Essence Thief is way underrated, it's a very nice one. Just give it a try and play it instead of quoting posts from the internet.

I hear ya. Look at what happened with Destiny 2. Designed with no RPG at all and now dead.

    1. Reasonable. Storage space even with chests in houses is limited
    2. Again, reasonable. Grinding gear sucks. Though jewellery is still an issue.
    3. NO! That would create a crap ton of balance issues.

I would be fine if when researched, you could only reproduce what you destroyed in the process. If you get the (medium) viper's chest in impenetrable, then you can only make the chest, in medium, in impenetrable. If you want freedom to make any trait, you need to research that specific armor with that trait. No choosing weights. That guarantees that you are only wearing what you have collected.

If it was, I'd have A LOT more stuff. In Skyrim, I had modded houses and modded carry capacity and it still wasn't enough. ESO's inventory limits are much less forgiving and I think that's a good thing.
