Guys,

New to the game and I have ESO:Morrowind which I think I got as a Games with Gold on Xbox. This feels like an expansion, is it the main game and Morrowind is a variation? Or are they all the same but each have different extras etc. some help would be appreciated, don't want to be missing something!!

If you are subbed, then you have access to the entire game. Morrowind is just like a DLC you paid for.

TESO needs a wardrobe system badly. Something similar to WoW's tmog system would make this game one of the best mmorpg out there!

Sorry, what do you mean Subbed? I've tried looking in Store to see if there is a main download but I'm presuming I've got it.....

ESO is the base game, and Morrowind is the Chapter expansion, plus many DLCs (smaller than a chapter, usually 1 zone or 2 dungeons).

Now, if you own Morrowind, you now start in Morrowind and can complete that zone in any order. The main quest of the base game begins when you enter the starting city of your alliance and talk to the Hooded Figure.

    Expansion Zones:
Vvardenfell & Battleground Arenas- Morrowind Chapter
Clockwork City - Clockwork City DLC
    Wrothgar - Orsinium DLC
Gold Coast - Dark Brotherhood DLC
Hew's Bane - Thieves Guild DLC
Imperial City - Imperial City DLC

All other zones are the base game, divided into three factions (5 zones for each), Coldharbor, Craglorn, and Cyrodiil (PVP zone).

The main game and morrowind are just different areas for questing and exploring. They play the same. All open world content scales to your level so you can go where ever you want when ever you want.

You can subscribe to the game by buying ESO+. It costs roughly $15 a month and comes with various benefits.
    https://www.elderscrollsonline.com/en-us/esoplus

One of those benefits is that it gives you access to ALL the DLC, but not the Morrowind Chapter for as long as you've subscribed.

Edited to add: Subscribing gives you benefits on top of merely buying the game. I've bought ESO, but I don't subscribe so I don't have the benefits, but I can play everything I own in the game.

ESO: Morrowind is the entire base game plus the Morrowind chapter (think of it like an expansion). If you owned the game before Morrowind came out you could purchase an upgrade. The base game without the Morrowind chapter is called ESO: Tamriel Unlimited.

ESO+ gives you access to all the regular (non chapter) docs. No need to buy them unless you plan to cancel your subscription.

If you have eso + you don’t have to save crowns for dlc, eso+ comes with access to all the dlcs. Unless of course you plan on dropping eso+ Later.

Morrowind is what they called a chapter. Yes they had to call it something else since they wanted to charge you for it and not have it covered by eso+. The double downside being chapters chant be purchased with crowns so no saving up for the next one either.

Yes. You can play all the dlc while you have eso+. You will loose access to them when you cancel eso+. Unless you purchase them with crowns.

When you download the base game, you download all DLC included. Some DLCs are zones with questing, some are dungeons. If you are not going to cancel then don't worry about buying DLC. You access them as a subscriber.

As long as you have are paying for ESO+, you have access to the DLC content. https://www.elderscrollsonline.com/en-us/esoplus

Once you stop subscribing, you lose access, though your progress in DLC content will remain. Some people prefer to use the Crowns given with ESO+ to buy the DLC outright so they don't have to keep ESO+ to keep access to the content. However, using ESO+ is a great way to figure out if you want to buy the DLC outright or if you don't want them. I don't buy all the dungeon packs myself.

Now, the new chapter Summerset Isles is coming out sometime this summer and that will have to be bought with cash, not crowns, and it will not be a part of ESO+.

At 9 quid a month I'm happy having + for a while. I've barely scratched the surface of what I've got, let alone a new load in the summer. glad they keep bringing out new content, other RPGs and such get stale after a couple months
