Warden Buff Idea

Mulling over what I would do to change warden for both PvE and PvP without over powering the class.

I've learned from Stam Sorc that a minor change can be enough.

What I've come up with is:

Leave dive as except one change: A second bird flies in after the first.

This would allow stacking of damage: cast bird, during delay of first bird ability (could be instant), and then the third GCD would have another bird

If you continuously casted birds, with the animation delay you would only have a stacking of 2 birds at any time simultaneously.

Leave it dodgeable, would be a good counter still.

PvE dps may actually want to slot it if you got x2 birds for the cost.

In PvP warden could stack nice burst damage, keep it's unique casting, and still have viable counters.

    Warden already has good burst especially in PvP. What we need for pve dps is better dots and sustain.

    If they buffed bird of prey back to 14 seconds (or better yet 20 seconds for both morphs) and made swarm worth using, it might not be such an issue.

    Imo fetcher infection should be a stamina morph dealing poison (or disease) damage and have an execute bonus (300% more vs enemies below 50% health).
    Growing swarm should be made into a ground targeted aoe with a 12 second duration that grows in damage and radius every 3 seconds like a placed hurricane (dealing magic damage still though).

    Swarm would be way OP like that lol. Swarm + injection + executioner after any ability? GG.

    Bird getting buffed risks similar, I would love a longer time but major Expedition and beserk for 20 sec? Yes please (eat your heart out Merc or slimecraw)

    Mag Warden actually has a severe lack of burst in PvP.

    Shalk + a full range of delayed and or dodgeable abilities makes it a second class citizen. In no CP especially, pressure can really only come in proc set form. A 2/3 sec dodgeable combo is not viable in PvP.

    Now, for PvE you kinda have to leave flies alone because it'll be way OP in PvP. You alienate Warden Tanks by messing with Gripping or Blast (a blast morph like hurricane may be OP)

    Shalk is good as is imo. And dive just lost something. Makes the most sense to me to adjust dive.

    Nobody is complaining about dot stacking in pvp, or you'd see more flak towards stamdk there.
    How often does anyone complain about poison injection?

    As for burst potential in PvP, mag warden is just as good as stam. Instead of wrecking blow + sub assault + dawnbreaker, its proxy det + deep fissure + meteor.

    What holds wardens back in pve dps roles is lack of available dots. No changes to bird are needed in PvP or pve.

    Also you say bird of prey would be op with a 20 second duration? Compare it to nightblades' grim focus or relentless resolve - berserk plus recovery plus a free burst that can be used up to 3 times per cast. They also have path and cripple for 100% uptime on major expedition.

    I would say NB is pretty fing strong because of that... Not saying it's deserving a nerf.... Just thinking it loudly lmfao!

    Its no less viable against good players than wrecking + shalk + dawnbreaker. It isn't the good players that complain about these combos - Its the people who don't know how to dodge.

    I would say a few things:

    Increase duration on Bird of Prey to 15 sec or so
    Either increase travel speed of Cliffracers or add some other effect
    Rework Shalks to be a double pulse over 6 sec or have execute damage or something
    Change Arctic Blast to scale off Mag/Spell Damage (tanks already have gripping shards so why 2 tank damage morphs??)
    Either increase the cost or decrease the mitigation from Sleet Storm and morphs (to balance better in PvP since its usually only slotted for passive in PvE)
    Fix Bear summoning bug

    For the love of Talos either move frost staff to a completely new skill line or give it a damage passive (dot/direct damage)
