I really don't understand the connection to proc sets. Proc sets were overperforming in Battlegrounds and doing more DPS than intended in PVE, so ZOS nerfed them.
Market manipulation by buying items cheap and reselling them for a high price isn't against the rules or creating problems for ZOS, so I'm not sure why you expect ZOS to deal with the problem.

I think You dont get how economy works. Outfits are direct and the only reason why minotaur chest prices went up by that huge amount. Lot of people wants to have bared chest to show their skins/tatoos etc while still looking decent which bathtowel not offers. There is limited amount of chests that can make that desire come true basicly mazzatun , argonian and minotaur. Mazzatun and argonian are much easier to get and are based around different ways of look that not everyone needs to like. From all 3 mentioned solutions minotaur chests are the hardest to get and for many people looks the best. That's why we have current prices. Need generates the price. Now more then ever thanks for outfit system prices of certain motifs pieces are based on their aesthetics.
I know how it work. And I also know more about things among just "buy-sell"
+ u sounded good idea: motif parts cost is based on its aestethic. but... why 1 man have bought all Mino chests and placed em for 150k? Why he decided for other ones? because he had money at the moment. We (me) didn't. It's not about aestetic at all...

yes, it's clear but I wanna know name first guy who did it.
Why, so you can name and shame?
(Which, incidentally, would be more against the rules than buying low and selling absurdly high.)
man, stop abusing this.
So, I'm genuinely curious now. Why would you want people's names?

I can't tell if you are serious or sarcastic. Either way, such a thing would be far more against the rules the game than reselling minotaur motifs for 150k, you know that, right?
Otherwise, the best revenge is buying ALL the motifs and selling them for 300k.
MasterSpatula wrote: »This has as much to do with ZOS nerfing the droprate of Minotaur to a level that no one but a straight-up sociopath would even consider as it does with the outfit system.
Oh... now that can explain some posts...
I'm pretty sure Minotaur wasn't mentioned in the Patch notes
1) Go farm a mino chest and once you finally get one--if you get one at all--ask yourself how much you would be willing to sell it for
2) I second having a mod lock this thread

All the Minotaur chest motifs were bought at a low price to turn them over for a much higher price? Sounds like auction house type stuff that happens in every other MMO. Why is ESO any different?
vamp_emily wrote: »I have a different point of view. I really don't sell any motifs. However, think about the RNG, do you want to spend the next 6 months trying to find that 1 piece or pay 150k?
I'm not sure how much I paid for mazzatun chest but I am sure I payed around 150k and ok with it, because I know I really didn't want to grind for it. I think I paid around 500k AP for the chest piece for akaviri motif. That set is crazy because you have to pay so much freaking AP to even create a set. For the mats it is like 500k more AP.
I don't mind paying a higher price for some of those motifs.

1) FARM MINO CHEST = 3 mins daily everyday. You can share q and wait until another guys comlete it for you. VERY HARD WORK, REALLY
2) you're biased.

Then go and farm Mino Chest and make money. Its that easy as you said!
Wait it isnt? Well might the price has a reason!
The supply and demand on the market cannot be fullfilled= price raises. As soon as the demand falls the prices will drop. No scalper can make money if there is more supply then demand.
It is far easier to get 150k Gold then farming the Motif yourself. Especially if you dont want it in some Months. The gold you can get in about 6hours. The motif you want in weeks/months! If you're lucky you might only take one week. But then you got much luck!
tell ur girl how clever you are.
or read full topic's discussion before posting common thing like a pro.
Its called the free market, get over it, dont pay it if you dont think its worth it. I never buy motifs over 10k myself...would rather farm them at those costs.
