spellcrafting.. how could it be?

lol I saw this thread and was about to post the spellbook datamine, only to see someone has already done it already

anyway, a lot of spellcrafting stuff has been added in the last year, see the bottom of this page: http://blog.uesp.net/index.php/2018/01/28/eso-update-17-data-mining-part-2

the slow but steady flow of datamined spellcrafting assets and information over the last year definitely shows ZOS are still working on it in the background, and that stuff that ThinkerOfThings posted is fairly new, too.

The server is then gonna be like real world 2016, with users running after orbs to chase their "pokemons"
"Is it true her wounds healed on their own ? Yes" No s***, at 75% health regen penalty!

I was a vampire like you, but then I took an idea to the head...

    spell crafting is humbug

Jewelry Crafting? NO. Never. Never do it, ZOS! That would break the need to make Veteran Dungeon to get purple jewelry and the NPC "The Golden".

So stop. In addition, if ZOS wanted (to make the game more casual than it already is), ZOS would have already done so.

How about letting people decide if they want to spend time doing dungeons instead of forcing them to grind garbage FOTM gear? I for one don't do dungeons for the gear, I run them for fun and daily rewards...vet DLC dungeons are one of the few retreats in this game from the mind-numbing easy content crammed into every corner of this game

I hope Spellcrafting will require an extensive amount of exploration and revisiting "old" places, e.g. components hidden in ruins and you need to revisit every ancient delve to complete your Spellcrafting book.

Please no, I already have to go back to every delve and shack in the game every time I need skillpoints and mage's guild for a new toon. I would much prefer that they are given as rewards for completing vet HM on dungeons or something, or for completing PvP objectives...the better the skill(or skill fragment) the harder the content required to get it(ultimate strength skills require vet DLC dungeon HM completion as an example). Give people a reason to actually improve their skills...the more skillful you are, the more you can expand your toolbox. To be clear...weaker versions of the skills(spells) would be available for easier achievements.

I have to respectfully disagree, I agree with @Seraphayel , we need more exploration based content, not to mention the data mined info we have so far indicates it will likely be exploration based.

Uhm no. Spellcrafting should be something for every player. I am absolutely sure it won't be tied to Veteran modes or PvP or anything like that (and it shouldn't). Something tied to achievements isn't ESOs philosophy.

i reasently read a datamine topic on reddid which includet this magical word "spellcrafting" for the summerset isles

whithout any detailed info i started to think about how it could be and which problems can ocure with such a system

after some time of thinking.. im sure such, a system can affect skills only in a minor way.. if not, the game would go out of controll balance wise

lets take a comon class skill morph like puncturing sweep for eg. i think the system will allow to add some minor effect to it like a small slow or small elemental effect but wont change the entire skill to something new

what do u guys think about it?

Settle down.. you don't know what it will be.

Yes we do. It has been coded, programed and tested since 2014. Here it is again in case you didn't click on it before. Watch. This is Spellcrafting.

And yes, it will be "Exploration based". And Yes, it will be tied to the Mage Guild so everyone can use it.

I would love Spellcrafting to be like they said in that video (almost 4 years ago) but I really doubt it. Important people left ZOS and the former "head" of Spellcrafting did so as well. I would be very surprised (and pleased) when Spellcrafting gets implemented the way they announced it but I doubt it.

True, but ZoS LOVES to make money and SAVE money.
This system has the art, coding. programining, everything ALREADY made!
Why would they spend the time and money to redo it?
Yes, I know Nick Konkle left. So did Paul Sage at about the same time. (Personal note: Love you Rich & Matt, but I really miss Paul's Shirts and miss "The Konk".)
Plus, this system, granted is pre 1T, but it is good, balanced, already made and ready to implement, so WHY would they do something totally different?

Well, if it was ready back then why did they wait 3-4 years to implement it? I still don't believe that the system hasn't been drastically changed after its first announcement.

And remember, we don't even have the official announcement of it coming yet. Seems to be very likely but imagine it won't be part of Chapter II. That would be some serious disappointment.
