Hi I bought the morrowind collectors upgrade about a month ago and the first thing I did was convert some gear to Morag Tong . It worked ok no problems. I’ve not played for a month and when I came to do this again nothing is happening when I select my gear then press triangle then down to convert then I press cross nothing happens. I’ve looked on the forums but there is not much here and I was wondering what’s the deal is it a bug as there has been an update since I played last and has anyone else experienced this. I’m on PS4.

You can change it at the outfit station now, free of charge ( to Morag Tong and Imperial if applicable )

The Oufit System changed how the Converter works.

You can't convert certain limited equipped gear to Morag Tong anymore. Instead, you can use the Morag Tong appearance in the Outfit Screen for free on an outfit. You will still have to pay to dye those items.

    Yeah, it's pretty BS.

We are a bit upset about it but seems they found a way to monetize the already monetized CE bonus features that were now removed as a feature.

You can still change it for free, what's the problem?

    The problem is that:
    A. Before, we could freely dye the equipped gear we converted. Now, we have to pay to dye the appearance gear in the outfit.
    B. Before, we could convert junk gear and Devon it for style mats. Now, we can't.

So even though the outfit system does a much better job of letting us use the appearance of the Morag Tong motif, we still lost some functionality with the change.

So I can’t craft something then convert it? That’s what I wanted to do. I think I understand as I’ve tried the outfit at the outfit station (dye station) but didn’t want to pay the gold for the dyes I’ve unlocked i just like to see the bare armour I’m wearing because when I get something better that goes on. Thanks for the info finally got an explanation.

Not anymore, no. You'd have to learn the Morag Tong motif and craft the item using that motif.

Also, you can still freely dye your equipped gear by choosing the No Outfit option in the drop down menu. If you see a gold counter and you can dye weapons, you are dyeing an outfit, not your equipped gear.

Though that means you basically lose one outfit slot since you have to use it for the Morag Tong outfit instead of being able to directly convert your crafted gear :/

I didn’t know there is a motif for it that’s ok then pretty awesome I’ve probly just not seen it. It’s also much easier to dye clothing now they’ve changed it as before I kept missing the item on the wheel and selecting something else lol thanks for the information I can now stop stressing haha.

I believe the motif pages can drop from Vvardenfell dailies?

    C. This requires the use of a Outfit Slot. So you use your free one or have to purchase one for a previously paid for function that required no other purchases to use.
