Some advice on my NB ganking build?

Hello everyone!

So I started playing ESO again and wwanted to try a PVP Stamina Nightblade WoodElf build.
I noticed that I am not good in PVP so I decided to change my playstyle. I would love to try out being an archer/assassin.
Basically what I want to do is gank people with a bow for ranged fights (Sniping build perhaps) and use 2H for close range ganking.

I have some questions however and would love some advice.

This is my build I am planning to use right now:
- 5 medium hunding rage
- 5 medium spriggan or night mother gaze (question 1: which one of these two is better for ganking from stealth?)
- 1 medium molag kena
Everything will be divines using the shadow mundus (question 2: is this good or is there a better mundus and trait combo i should use? I heard the increased crit damage is better than getting a bit more weapon damage but am just asking to be sure)
For food I was thinking of: Orzorga's Smoked Bear Haunch (question 3: other good options to make sure I can kill my enemy quick or atleast survive and get out if I cannot kill the enemy?)

I will be using a bow and 2H sword (question 4: is 2H sword the best option for ganking or is mace a better option for the pen?)

According to the eso stat calculator these are the stats I have:
Health: 14214
Stamina: 27408
Magicka: 9479
Weapon damage with 2H bar: 2092
Weapon damage with bow bar: 2051
2H bar crit chance and damage: chance: 51.8%; damage: 93%
bow crit chance and damage: chance: 62.8%; damage: 93%
Physical pen: 3429

Now my bar setup:
2H: Shadowy disguise, mass hysteria, ambush, surprise attack, killer's blade; ult: soul harvest
Bow: Reaper's mark, camouflaged hunter, rally, focused aim, poison injection; ult: flawless dawnbreaker
I placed the skills so that I can use the longer lasting buffs from bow bar and others from 2H as I will use Shadowy disguise to ensure a crit or to get away in melee. Might switch shadowy disguise and rally however so I can crit easier with bow.

So what do you guys think about this? Any other suggestions for my items, any potion suggestions or other food that might be better?
What things need to be increased? More pen or weapon damage? More crit chance?

Just to make sure everyone understands how I intend to play the build: I don't want to use bow first then go in with melee. I would like to keep it seperate so I can kill with melee only or kill with ranged only. This way my melee and ranged rotation are not depending on eachothers attacks (they do depend on eachothers buffs tho) and if I want to I can always combine them.

Would love to hear what you guys can tell me for advice on this build. Let me know if you need more information. Tried to give as much info as possible haha

Thanks a lot already!

So i run....strenght of the automaton (SotA) and archer's mind (AM). As a madman in full divines (warrior)

SotA is normally terrible on NB but i messed with my bar set up to only use physical damage abilities. SotA gives my skills 400 instead of 300 wd from hundings. Onslaught gank build dosen't need penetration

Archer's mind is underrated but more crit damage means more damage after cloak. Its also cheap to buy so you can just pick it up and try it.

I also run hundings + SotA if i expect to need to fight people. In fact i carry around all four of Hundings, spriggans ,SotA and AM.

I was doing dummy tests with them and SotA + spriggans did the most focused aim damge while SotA + AM did the most onslaught damage

So i noticed that my health was a little low so i slapped prismatic defense enchantments on the large pieces. Extra mag is a appreicated. I run tri stat food.

I tried a bit on dummy.

I got more initial dmg with Archers mind than any of the dmg sets. Though it require for you to be stealthed or cloaked.

If you want to focus on snipe ganking I would pair hawk eye with another set.

For melee gank, which would probably involve uppercut and/or berserker strike maybe Archers mind and or strength of automaton or flanking.

You got very low wpn dmg for quick ganking imo.

    Your jewelery is wpn dmg?

Yeah you have to enchant your jewerely with weapon damage enchants.

I have 3900 when using SotA which doesn't show up in stats.

    My bars.

2h: Ambush, Shadow disguise, Supprise attack, Executioner, Rally. Onslaught.

Bow: Relentless focus, magelight, shadow disguise, focused aim, poison injection, flawless, Dawnbreaker.

You need assassin skills on both bars. Relentless focus give 8% more damage and repears mark.. gives you away. People can see you use it on them.

Magelight. There is a mages guild passive that gives 20% damage on next direct attack after using a mages guild skill. It also gives you resistance to being ganked yourself.

Mass hysteria is a good skill, improtantly it causes them to drop block. Its just that lag is really hard to bar swap to cloak mid combat. If you aren't having lag problems you won't have to double bar cloak.

Shuffle: dodge damage get out of cc stupidly strong. I do use this sometimes.

Leeching strikes. Really good for sustain. I use it on battlegrounds (bow bar).

Vigor: you only need one heal. Its vigor or rally. And i chose rally then run unstopable speed stam potions instead of needing weapon damage ones.

Thank you for the information! But if I enchant my gear with weapon damage then does that not get rid of whatever is on it already? I think some pieces give extra stamina but I am not sure...

Also what pieces should I enchant with weapon damage? All of them or?

And does reaper's mark put me out of stealth or how does it make people see me? I know that many people get warned by it and start rolling and stuffing but I was not planning to use it for ranged attacks although that sounds weird... I was planning on putting a mark on the enemy when I go melee, then ambush in before they can really react. Would that work or would the mage skill still be better?

Your Jewellery pieces (necklace and two rings) normally start with Stamina Regen on them. You replace that with weapon damage.

For your armor, Head, Chest and Leg Pieces I have enchanted with a tri stat enchantment (prismatic defense), so that I will get up to 17 000 hp. The other pieces of armor I have enchanted with stamina.

Then I also use Tri stat Food buff (which has less health and stam than two stat food but also gives mag).

They will block roll and dodge and cast defensive abilities such as radiant magelight which will pull you out of stealth or use invisibility detection potions to see you. You don't want them to know you are there... I do use the skill but only when I am in a group not solo ganking.

Radiant magelight is good for trying to get snipe kills, when in melee Ambush provides the same buff. It is also great when you are taking flags to keep it up to stop yourself getting ganked.

You can switch things around depending on the situation you find yourself in.

So I went in a tested my damage.

Against a target dummy will be at least halved against players, normally more since they run impen.

    Tri-stat food and 717 cp

24% direct damage, 14% physical damage and 20% crit damage from cp

    With SotA + Hundings Rage
    Focused Aim: 31613. Onslaught: 56232

    With SotA + Archer's Mind
    Focused Aim: 32698 Onslaught: 57662

As such Archer's Mind deals more damage than Hundings Rage you could of course run both but since SotA is the same as Hundings rage except for only effecting physical damage and for more it would be less.

Why are you still using Camo hunter in your build? its a completely useless skill! Relentless focus is the same skill but about a million times better. First it counts on your first hit second it turns into a huge nuke if you manage to get enough light attacks off. Since Relentless focus is an assassination skill you then don't have to run Reaper's mark which is basically a huge red light telling someone they are about to get ganked.

If you really don't want to use mage-light you should use Shuffle instead... Empower from the mages guild passive is a hgue 20% damage buff.

Didn't think about relentless focus but I am not planning on using light attacks a lot. I was thinking as I will attack from stealth I will get 8% extra damage from camo hunter + extra damage from the passives. Is relentless focus really that much better and does it work passively or do I have to activate it?

I was also wondering if I should use heavy attacks instead of snipes? I heard snipes sometimes alerts the enemy? But the damage from snipe is so much higher than heavy attack so... ?

Also is 3k weapon damage and 3k pen enough for ganking?

You have be a literal dummy to die to wing reflects, as one cloak cast will cause the reflected snipes to miss you.
