Same 3 bots each cutting up a third of upper Craglorn, I report them on a near daily basis. Seriously please will you do something? How many times do they need reported?
I believe the Dev's use the Xander Cage approach. Video or it didn't happen. A still pic is hard to prove it's a bot. This sucks and they should do so much more investigating repeatedly reported.
Be sure to reply to the email even if no video or pics. List all the report numbers you have on that bot. Maybe that will wake them to act.

They don't send out an email for bot reports. At least, I no longer get emails for bot reports. Maybe that means they never get them. Maybe they just decided I don't need the spam.
Edit: Also, I don't think they bother to look at bot report videos.

I have received them and recently
I always tend to stop and look at folks for a second or two who might think I'm a bot just so they know I'm not, or I let them take the node even though I might get to it first. I can see myself looking like one though because I've used the same route for years now and also know how to leapfrog it if someone is also there so we aren't competing for the same node. I've learned how much distance it takes to have live nodes between you and someone else so they aren't getting screwed either.
That said, the bots I see don't even move, they just stand there all night and take the same node over and over again.
Not saying any names but you could get one of them without determining if they are a bot or not on the simple fact that Copyrighted names are suppose to be a No No.
I agree there is something up, I see them all the time and they are clearly effecting the cost of items in the guild stores when u see someone list 5000 leather for 25 percent under mm i say to myself and theres a bot sale

I have some tinfoil for sale, $10 a roll. I know you can get it cheaper elsewhere but that stuff in the stores is actually government sponsored and has microchips in. Mine doesn't.The_Protagonist wrote: »Looking at how ZOS has dealt with exploits in the past it is really interesting how they continue ignore issues for bots, could it be that ZOS themselves are the ones running bots??
I think the reason is simply bots are harder to handle and keep happening in mass numbers. Exploiters are much smaller numbers, have done something in a specific location in a specific way. Bots are just characters running around farming, although ZOS should really have better detection systems for them by now.

Bots tanked the EU market not too long ago. A few botters wanted to cash out so they listed thousands of ethereal dust at 25k each (MM value is 75k). Just to farm thousands of dust, you need a massive botting operation (like dozens of bots picking nodes 24/7 for a few months). And they were somehow allowed to operate all that time without being banned.

In my experience, the stand-and-pick bots are very rare these days. They stand out, and I have seen two, maybe, in the last 6 months. Next time you see one, pop in here and post the server and location.
With enough practice it is easy to tell the difference between a human and a bot. It is good that you are taking the time to do things that show you are human. One of the fears that I have with the easy-to-report-bots add-ons out there is that ZOS will get inundated with false reports. That only serves to help the bots.
