Those giant gates outside are the perfect entrance. Why must a high hall be entered through a catacomb? It takes me 3 loading screens just to get outside into the main area of the house. The interior certainly isn't because it's almost as small as the catacombs. If the entrance were those gates, it would only be the initial. I mean come on Zos, please think about it--who wants to enter their home through an underground burial ground and suffer load screens? Please jsut change it or let me return it or anything!

unfortunately ZOS is not bothered with fine tuning stuff they released already. their only focus seems to be going towards new DLC's and not improving what's already in the game. how many times a day you get stuck in a tiny rock that has been laying there since ESO has been released?...1 -

Blacknight841✭✭✭✭✭Ummm i would like to see them make the other half of the second floor reachable through a door, or make the second floor one continuous balcony. Pretty pointless to make a second half of a balcony that cannot be reached.8

The only thing about Hakkvilds I liked, was the catacombs, mostly because the music there is creepy dungeon-like (which is awesome), and its also dark as heck.
But for those wanting the catacombs as a side, or even afterthought, I can see how that would be off-putting.
Suggestion to ZoS:
Create an "entrance setting" that allows the owner to decide which entrance area to load into.
And while yer at it, add the following settings to ALL homes as well:- Type of music played
- Time of Day Control (dynamic or static)
- Weather Control
Just my Wishlist...

✭✭✭✭✭I absolutely HATE that the entrance is the catacombs! I hate that half the upstairs balcony is inaccessible. I hate all the wasted space in the house itself, from lack of a true second story to the dumb raised dais in the center of the floor (why not just sell that thing as a platform for people who WANT it?) to all the damned unnecessary loading screens (a loading screen to get to the HALF upper balcony instead of STAIRS???) to the stupid bench-like things that ring the lower floor but are behind a half wall and completely unusable. I am having to use up half my precious item slots just making the place reasonably liveable which is taking away from doing anything cool with the beautiful outdoors section and the very cool and potentially spooky catacombs.
I DEEPLY regret this purchase and wish I could get my crowns back.PAWS (Positively Against Wrip-off Stuff) - Say No to Crown Crates!2 -

I was going to buy it and use as guildhall, when it was added to the game.
But then after meeting with 2 loading screens on entrance decided to remove this idea from my mind.
@ZOS_GinaBruno Fix it please, make enter threw Main gate as in another Manors.
Now it's absurdly uncomfortable.
Also, why to enter own Manor with a backdoor catacombs?

This has always bothered me, and has kept me from purchasing this house.

Khipu✭✭✭I bought it, so have it and I love it. I would be rather angry if my purchase were changed so drastically.
Many games that have homesteads have a way for the customer to control where their visitors enter, so I agree with @OmniDo fully.
The rest I would like to see as well because I'm used to having these options to control for my home. I would add the ability to use your mount in places with such large areas as well because I'm used to that too.
Hopefully, sooner, rather than later they expect to enhance Homestead with such amenities in order to boost interest in it.
However, until such a time, I'd suggest that if you don't like it, don't get it. Simple, dimple. But, please don't call for a change and expect everyone, even most people to want such a change.

ThoraldGM✭✭✭The game already has to remember where we placed furniture, so a fast travel mat would not create a memory burden. On load-in, if player placed a mat go to it. Else load player in default spot (catacombs). I did purchase Hakkvild's and it's been fun using furniture to improve it.0

This is exactly why I did not purchase this home. If the burial ground was just extra background then fine but not the main entrance.-- It is easy to be a Jerk Online; what do you win? Being Kind people remember you, help you, befriend you and you feel good too.0 -

But I’ll voice my thoughts anyway:
It’s way too late for zos to change it, many people who have purchased the house are happy with the entry point and have decorated accordingly by now, if they forced a change in entry point without giving a spawn gate selection ability, a few owners of the house would be very upset that they didn’t get a choice, in some cases it may even mess up their whole decorating theme.
Change always upsets someone, but it’s a case of whether zos say it’s worth upsetting those few in favour of the ones upset about the current spawn, they don’t know how upset some will be, some will demand refunds, some will just complain on here, some will be upset at first but move on quickly without saying much.
Also the above ground gate leads directly to Falkreath which is a dungeon, so we’d probably have to travel into a dungeon just to access the house.
The best solution without using a spawn gate furnishing ability, I think would be to add a secondary path placed in between the house gate and falkreath’s gate, but not sure how that would work since between the gates is unknown territory (unknown as to which province it belongs to) probably part of Skyrim territory rather than Craglorn. Also not sure if there would be a viable route from Craglorn to get between the gates, not unless they add a second path when we get the rest of Skyrim?
These are just my thoughts on this matter, who knows what ZoS could or would do...
(Yes I own the house but I wouldn’t mind a shift in spawns since I hardly have anything inside the Tomb part except rubble and a few torches)
