I'm not 'anti PC gaming' but unless you have a dedicated gaming PC, Windows is a nightmare. I've never had a game that runs smoothly.

What I do have is a family. Four kids (three of them boys who play ESO), a husband and myself. Who in their right mind would buy five copies of a game so everyone can play on PC when one PS4 disk does the same thing?

I have four kids who do things like turn off a PC by unplugging it, download whatever dodgy thing that takes their fancy because it's someone else's problem to fix it and change settings they don't understand and randomly delete things for the same reason.

Also, what I currently have is an entry level laptop that does everything I need it to but won't play games in any way worth giving up my console for. I don't want the expense of a machine the kids will wreck or an ugly desk in the living room.

My PC was built in 2009 and has only had a case fan replaced. How many versions of xbox has there been since 2009?

I'm not claiming consoles don't have their problems or even that they suit everyone but they have a big place for people who's lifestyle doesn't suit a big, expensive, ugly dedicated gaming PC.

But just for the record, the only time I suffer from lag at all on my PS4 is prime time in Cyrodiil and I've read these forums enough to know that that isn't exclusively a problem for consoles!

I prefer and play on PC, but in this game there's a very good reason to play on console: add-ons.
PC has to deal with add-ons like miat's (new ones will come), and in PvE trials raiders need their hand held by the likes of Raid Notifier. Anything to remove skill from the game. So if you're the type of player who likes to excel through skill, then consoles have that advantage.

Conversely, if you're the type of player who needs hand holding and crutches, then PC is for you.

My PC maintains itself with automatic updates. Every few months I get a video driver update. Click 2 buttons, done. I've had the same "PC" for about 6 years now. I upgrade components as needed (usually just video card) when game performance becomes unsatisfactory.

Started on PC in closed beta.
Willingly moved to Xbox one. Now on the Xbox one x with majorly less issues than experienced on PC.

And the Xbox Live community and tools are better from game to game. Aside from ZOS decisions I disagree with, it’s better for me hands down

Xb1 runs on windows 10 =P .

I can understand it tho. I used to play console exclusively. And I might eventually again cuz its cheaper and easier.

Exactly! I bought my PS4 on release, so long ago that I can't even remember when that was! The next version is at least a couple of years off. I've never had a PC last that long

you aren't supposed to look at it. you put it somewhere out of the way. it is not a thing of art but a tool.

actually this thread is a good reason to have separate forums for each platform. by that i mean if you are on pc you can't see the other forums and so on....

all this thread is doing is giving an excuse for people to get factional and territorial.

There are separate forums...for matters that pertain to those platforms. This isn't one of the threads.

This is just a bait thread in general discussion in order to bait players into responding. Report it and move on like you would for any other bait thread.
