I’ve been playing around with the new set, but not really sure what to make of it. Tried it with SPC, Twilight Remedy and Julianos. Resto Ult Lights Champion and Warhorn.

Might sound strange, but I could see it being really good with a DK Healer...if there are any?

For dungeons, I had been using SPC/Julianos and adding a bit more damage with Destro Ult; which does work good for all regular dungeons, though maybe not the best for DLC and definitely not for trials.

Healer is not my main, but I do try to experience all roles and this one has had the same setups for quite some time. I’m sure some healers have been trying this set out, I’d like to hear what your thoughts and experiences have been with Jorvuld. What sets do you mix it with? What ulti to use? Class? Are you going Monster Set? Possibly S/B heals?

The set is a huge meh from me. The only buff that I can't just recast is the major force from warhorn, another 3.8 seconds of which is not worth a whole five piece, especially one with a 2% healing done, easily the worse 2-4 piece value in the game.

It's nice to increase the duration of potions... but it's a too selfish set IMO for a healer. Maybe for solo...

I hear ya with the SPC. It felt odd wearing Jorvulds and Twilight. My Stam guys were tearing it up though.

What about combining this with that set that gives 2 allies major force - master architect or whatever it's called? Use it with a low cost ultimate like soul harvest on a nb, enchanted forest on a warden, or lights champion with resto staff, might be able to keep higher uptime on the force that way than with warhorn.

Jorvulds is the strongest DPS increase for trials after SPC and Aether, so one healer should definitively be wearing it if you don't need something like Mending. It's strength mainly comes from increasing the duration of major force (warhorn). You only need it on backbar, so you can wear it with SPC and a monsterset which is really strong.

For that to work it would have to make the whole ultimate last %40 longer wouldn’t it? I’ve got to do some more research.

-_- still evaulating but doesn't twlight and guidance sound interesting? O.o fit my sorc loving shields so well and that 15% cost reduction in ultimate. But can I drop spc :scream: .

But honestly it's like said this looks best on dk healers. They have best ultimate generation of out the five.

Problem with Jorvulds is that there isn't many buffs that you can provide that make the set worthwhile as a Healer to justify using it.

Major Force from Warhorn is the best buff you provide but since it lasts such a short duration, the ~4 second increase in duration is hardly noticeable.
Combat Prayer also suffers from a short duration increase so, while it might help periodically, it's not something that you'd overly rely on.
It doesn't extend debuffs you apply, like E-Drain.
The increased duration of shields hurts it somewhat by delaying Healing Ward, which is problematic for classes without a burst heal (Or a Sorc healer that's Twilight died unexpectedly).
The 2-4 piece bonuses are also somewhat lacking.

It's ultimately a so so set.
    Argonian forever

I say again, why not combine it with master architect and a cheap ultimate?
(5 items) When you use an Ultimate ability, you and the closest 2 allies within 28 meters of you gain Major Slayer for 10 seconds, increasing your damage done to Dungeons and Trials Monsters by 15%.

This means that every time you use an ult, 3 people are getting a 15% damage boost for 14 seconds.

A cheap ult like soul harvest can easily be used every 15-20 seconds I would think, or you could use enchanted forest on a warden (costs 75 ult, gives you 20 back right away if it heals anyone under 50% effectively making it cost 55).

    yeah :D and no - doesn't work.

but back on planet tamriel, it should probably work on circle of protection and the likes.

I don’t think it would work with Master architect because the set it’s giving the buff not casting something. Or maybe it does. Idk?

Is it increasing the duration of EVERY absorb shield skill? So Barrier, Ward, Harness Magicka etc as well? And does it increase the duration of shields applied by sets (Prayer Shawl, Combat Physician) as well? Increased Shield duration means increased amount of absorption as well? Or is it just extending the duration without changing modifiers? If so it sounds quite interesting.

I know it makes you wait longer for the burst heal on healing ward so it’s generally trash for shieldstack builds in pvp

I know WORM is said to be the meta for a healer, but how important is this to a 4 man group really? I fell like maybe for trials, but there are better sets for dungeons IMHO.

For me I see it like this for my healer

    Minor intellect
    Major intellect (potion)
    Minor beserk
    Minor resolve
    Major force
    Minor force

    Major breech
    Major vatality

    Major ward
    Major reslove
    Minor protection
    Minor endurance
    Minor life steal

    Potions (sometimes)
    - major prophecy
    - major sorcery

    poison
    Minor sorcery
    Minor breech
    Minor defile
    Minor fracture

    For myself and allies

Really comes down to it how do I test spc vs guidance. Or do I forgo twlight remedy.

Worm needs at least 4 magicka dps so null in dungeons. I would think sentential would be better in it's place or guidance.

The main advantage of SPC + Jorvuld is that you can use 5+5+2 setup on your healer. So even if Jorvuld is used just for Major Force buff (War Horn), it passively enables another bonus from your monster set. Although monster sets for healers seem situational, it's something that shouldn't be completely overlooked (and you can even use two 1-piece bonuses).

Theoretical question: What would be better for burn phase? SPC + Mending? SPC + Jorvuld + Bogdan? SPC + Jorvuld + Earthgore? SPC + Jorvuld + Lord Warden? Naked + Broom + Bucket?
    Yes.

Worm is one of those sets that I keep on hand in case I'm running with a 4 man consisting of 2 mag DD. Then worm is useful to everyone, but even then I really don't use it unless I'm running with 2 GOOD mag DD. If the dps aren't good to begin with, then I doubt that the tiny bit of extra sustain is going to suddenly make them good. Plenty of other sets to choose from in that case, even selfish sets would be better IMO.

I've been absolutely loving Jorvulds in PVP healing! Longer uptime on buffs is so helpful in medium to large size groups when there's lots of movement going on. I'm not entirely sold on which set to pair it with though.

I mostly go for Earthgore currently as it's a really good emergency heal. There are situations where I can't heal someone because of bad positioning, mechanics or whatever. Earthgore never the less procs from my minor lifesteal or rapid regen. There are some fights were I still like having Mending, because Earthgore is not completely reliable for some high damage phases.
