And to make matters worse, the Entire Motif was available in the last set of crown crates for 200 gems.

Well, I finally finished it the hard way, and without losing my sanity along with @Cpt_Teemo, so that's a small victory, I think.

A small victory? A SMALL Victory?

    I haven't found 1 yet!

Yeah, the last three pages cost me 400k. Small victories.

EDIT: I found 5 or 6 pages, purchased the rest over time. I bought heads at one point, then got a head about a week later. I didn't spend thousands of hours farming, but with about 40 hours wandering around Vvardenfell poking every chest I found, I trust @Cpt_Teemo's numbers.

I've gotten, like, 3 pages from simple chests. Including BA Chest page out of a simple in nHoF.

To be fair, I've probably only cracked, like, 3k chests to get 5 pages. You don't want to know what Teemo was doing.

Its better for Elder scrolls to avoid these practices. People bought this game because of the respect of elder scrolls and skyrim. This is not right for legendary game publisher. Dont go in wrong direction. Come on. Dont spoil your respect. Dont become another EA or ubisoft. You dont have to earn money like this. Its really ugly for a legendary Elder scrolls game for the name they earned for so long.

I remember buying this motif from Guild Traders just before they put this in the Crown Store the first time. Was baffled by their choice of price then, and Im still baffled by it now.

Not that I cant see why theyre doing it. But why they think ripping off customers, primarily newer players, is a good business plan. Once these customers realize theyve been had, theyll be much more skeptical of making large purchases in the future. And since new players are likely the biggest purchasers in games like this. It seems like theyre shooting themselves in the foot.

I still can’t believe that the Dark Brotherhood house was priced that high. Especially being that about a third of it is inaccessible. Then ZOS’ marketing team somehow thought it was a good luck to have a statue cost over 3k crowns. Lmao. Now the Celestial motif is marked as a discount of 5k crowns, from its original of 6k crowns. :D

What is worse is that the ESO version of Daedric Armor is pretty bad looking. It pales in comparison to how Skyrim’s Daedric Armor looks.

On a similar note, Glass was also pretty bad for a long time. But then, the new outfit system came along. And this fixed Glass. Now you can have proper Glass armor and weapons, that are lore accurate. As a side note those who want to do this, I highly recommend going with Aurora Green for the green parts on weapons, and Ophidian Jade for the green parts on armor. For the gold trim, I’ve found that Akatosh’s Scales Gold works best on weapons. And for the armor, use Colossus Brass.

Yea, I was thinking the same thing. I have thought all the crown motifs have been pretty comically expensive. But in this case, with Celestial being so common and cheap, it was even funnier.
I am currently worried for the future of ESO. Population seems like it is in free fall and the cancellation of the North America in-person gathering feels very much like pulling the plug. Kudos on fixing the in-game economy though. Clearly whatever gold shenanigans were happening the last couple years are fixed.

right, because the price that players set in gold should always be taken into account when zos price things. NOT.

they took something that was there already, and reduced it. and look at the hate they get for doing that. I dont recall the outrage when it was 6000 crowns. but reduce that and OMG! you suck ZOS!

if this is how people react to price reductions, maybe they shouldnt have anything on sale. If you want something you can pay full price instead. OR you can earn it in the game. They arent stopping you.
