How long from purchase until access?

I purchased the game a hour or something ago, but it's still not showing in my billing history, and my account still says "beta access". Has anyone else bought the game today, and already received access? If so, how long did it take before you could log in?

You don't get access automatically. You'll get an email with a link in it, follow that link and register the code that also comes in the email (maybe a separate email - I can't remember.) Anyway, after you register your code you'll have access. At least this was the protocol when I pre-ordered a few weeks ago. I can't imagine it's changed though.

I got an email with a confirmation code, but it doesn't let me use that for the "redeem code" option in the account page. It says "We'll also contact you at your account's registered email address with information about early game access as we get closer to game release in April 2014.", so I'm thinking that must be the email with the code, but I haven't received it yet. Do you know how long that email took to get once you'd paid for it?

i just bought imperial edition, downloaded ESO client an cant get in, it says 5 day early access so i guess they will send us a code to redeem, i changed passwords and all and still cant get in.

It appears to be a problem today. My boyfriend is going through this at the moment too. Here's another forum post that has some responses from ZOS mods. Maybe this will help give you a little more info about the problem.

What happened with me is i logged in and played for around half an hour, then i had exactly the same problem as you, after two hours it let me back in again and i havent had the problem since.

Maybe it is server related or something

That linked post confirms it's a miscommunication between their store and game servers, and that they're at least aware of the issue, so that's a start.

It's been a little over four hours for me so far, no emails, confirmation on the account page, or ability to log in. Hopefully it will be fixed by the time my WoW raid is over tonight.

On the good side, I have more time to decide which faction I want to go with. I liked the Daggerfall zone, but I already did most of the (available) quests for the Covenant and Pact during beta, so it might be better to start as Dominion. All these hard choices we gamers face.

They've fixed my account it seems. I'm on the character creation screen, about 7 hours after payment.

Was waiting for some confirmation they were going to implement an FoV fix. Didn't see they had updated it over a week ago until today. But yeah, it's launch, there are going to be issues like this.
