Are Imperial sewers dead?

I'd like to get the damn violet dye, but noone ever goes to the sewers except for small groups of gankers.
Have people largely abandoned doing the content there or something?

I've only ever gotten that achievement in one of two ways. Either a premade from my guild, rolling through in a tight, coordinated, raid, and (originally) alone, picking at Molag Bal from the shadows while a hostile group was working him over, and then ghosting away.

If you are in a guild, you could try to get a group together on a regular basis.

How many people are needed though?
I don't even know what happens in the central area.

There is nothing really there people want other than very small man groups or solo action. It would be nice if they would make it more viable such as making it possible to buy any armor set or monster set with Telvar or a currency exchange to convert it to AP or Gold or something. I know there are some armor sets you can get but ... I don't think its a big enough draw to keep it populated.

Just my opinion, don't mean I'm right.

You (probably) need 4 people for the central event. More makes life easier, and makes your group less appetizing for gankers. Rolling through with a full squad of 24 is an option, but only the 12 highest damage dealers will get credit on completion. (Though, everyone will get the dye.)

Figure 4-8 is comfortable. If you have a full trial group ready to roll, feel free to bring 'em all.

It's a series of six events with the inner three having a miniboss associated with each. Then a fight against Molag Bal, just at the end of the main quest. And, you've got a dye.

Wait, you need to complete the main quest to get the achievement in the sewers? I don't understand.

No, Molag Bal just uses the same (or a very similar) moveset in the main quest.

Up to 12 in the group because "a maximum of twelve players can earn the event reward; any more, and some members of your group will get nothing from the Simulacrum boss."

No, the main story Molag Bal and the Imperial City Sewers Aspect of Molag Bal are different things.

What alliance are you ? If you are AD or EP, I can help you. I can solo Molag-Bal for you and then you shall get it. Consider my offer. You are PC-EU as well. We can do it as soon as you are ready.

They mean that you don't just walk into the central sewer and Molag Bal shows up to fight. You'll have to put down the minibosses first.

That would be great! Maybe not in a prime time like now, though :)

I would much prefer AD, because I have my strongest character there. It doesn't really matter what you play, I carry you through. You just need to make sure to tag the bosses and Molag-Bal.

They are :) The achievement only counts for your current character, but the dye is unlocked for all your characters. My boyfriend will assist us in our endeavor. So if you are ready, you shall contact me @Dracane. Whenever you are willing.

You don't need anyone with you. I've had one other person with me and we've done the central boss.

First of all they should not penalize for dying. Mainly its filled with gankers. Groups are very rare. I only go telvars like many players . Other than that, no one interested .

Hi, I can assure you that with regards to PC EU Sewers and Imperial City are not dead.

Just last January, I made a guild specifically for people who have at least one Ebonheart Pact character and want to find help for Sewers and Imperial City. It's name is Pact Sewer Raiders. I have to admit that it was very successful - people can ask for help, join an ongoing group or start their own sewer/IC group anytime they want through guild chat. All they have to do is indicate campaign they are interested in.

Groups for Bal form very regularly and very fast, so do groups for Imperial City. Through guild, telvar is farmed very fast and many people have benefited because they use the telvar to buy storage boxes, polymorphs and other stuff. Quite a few have also had the rare soulshriven skin drop of Bal - from sewer base to bal it takes very little time to travel there if we are a good group and we keep Bal groups a maximum of 12 because of drops.

We are mostly PvE for telvar and gold farming (the intricate drops in sewers/IC really make lots of money and so do the Ebonheart Pact Motifs in chest, also 200 key fragments sell for around 14k so that is also good)..but as it is a PvP area we obviously sometimes end up defending ourselves fighting other players especially when boss farming in City.

Most importantly, we try to keep things as democratic as possible - there are no real ranks - we just help each other...

We are almost full guild, I never kick players but temporarily remove those that are extremely inactive - but not before leaving a polite email to each and every one of them promising that I will re-add them should they start playing again. And I always keep my promise.

The only obvious rule is not to lure Ebonheart characters with characters from other faction using guild chat and kill them.

the sewers being somewhat/mostly dead is due to a rather simple thing known as "the tel var rewards down there are ***" thus most people go topside into the city.

Pretty much nailed it. A lot of people don’t like the tel var mechanics and think it’s not worth the trouble.

If you're having Trouble kicking Molag's Balls, you should try... Uhh.. Hmm..
Wait, I think people have Builds to Solo literally everything in the sewers with -10% effort. Pet Sorc with Imperial Physique, Necropotence, and Maelstrom Staff.
I think that was how the Cool Kids were doing it lately.

You could also try getting a group together from a Guild or something.
Try fighting a Flag Boss with your group. If you can kill it with out risking a full party wipe, chanced are you can stomp Molag's Balls in to submission.

I think the sewer part is more dead up top very active. When the new lvling rewards came I made a new character and once I hit lvl 10 I went straight to the old will power farm spot in vivec campaign. I lvled 10-50 in about 6 hours 2, 3hr days and did not run into any gankers.

Went to farm tel var up top was ganked ever 10 mins or ran over by a group

Imperial Physique is such a troll set when you see it on builds for newbies hitting the IC.
