I am in the U.S. on EST. When DID the event actually start? I'm worried my wife or I may not have logged in and killed anything - just logged in and done writs.
From reading the notes, it seems like it start THURSDAY at 7pm and the first day ended FRIDAY at 7pm. Is that the case?

Reaper's promotion used UTC. Flame promotion used GMT. There's no time difference between those two.
