If you care about free crates, that is.

Just under an hour left today for day one, then two 24-hour segments after that. Kill a mob in each reset period (wolves count for sure, other things that can damage you and aren't players should also count) and later you get a free Scalecaller crate for each day you participated (expect it via your UI, not your mail). Wait, so if you killed something last night, you're golden? Or the reset is at 10pm like everything else?

@starkerealm If you logged in and killed it after 7PM yesterday I think you're good.

thanks for the reminder! i was in Cyrodiil last night and just in case NPC guards don't count, i'm gonna kill a harpy to make sure.

"Earn Free Crown Crates

If you want a taste of the shadowy powers the new Crown Crate season has to offer, you can earn up to three free Scalecaller Crown Crates simply by playing The Elder Scrolls Online! To acquire these new items, log into the game and defeat any enemy creature (monsters, bosses, or even enemy NPCs) every day, from Friday, March 9 until Sunday, March 11.

Note that for the purpose of this event, each day begins at 12:00AM GMT and ends at 11:59PM GMT (that means it starts at 7:00PM on the previous day, for those on the US East Coast).

You'll be rewarded with a new crate for every day you participate (up to a max of three), and you'll receive all your earned crates on Tuesday, March 13. You will be able to find your free crate in your Crown Crates menu."

Yeah, I got an email about this... about three hours before the first day ended. Since it ended at 5pm on a workday, I missed that first crate. I had logged in yesterday, but didn't kill anything, and it wasn't on the news on the Launcher then. Where's the best place to go to get this information in time?

@Terfin bummer! that's kinda rough

i'm usually on a tablet from here, but at the top-left by the banner i can click the 3 bars for a drop-down menu and then choose "NEWS"

that's how i keep up to date on giveaways and contests, but there they also post upcoming new crown store stuff for the month and all the bigger stuff like DLC thingies.

Oh don't worry. You'll get the email telling you that there was an event where you could have gotten free crates after they distribute the free crates to people that earned them.

Yeah, and I've been fighting since yesterday to get the game to let me login on the server I play (PC/NA). It's not a problem on my end, because I can log in on PC/EU just fine (I created a character on there today). So that's a pain. I'm pretty annoyed about login issues during this event.
