A couple things which would vastly improve pvp (Battlegrounds) for most people.

Disable potions. Dissalow premades for battlegrounds. 2 simple changes which would improve the experience. Alternately instead of disabling premades for battlegrounds, add a "No premades" option.

Playing your character the way your character should play is all that matters. Play as well as you can but never betray the character. Doing so would make playing an mmoRPG pointless.

You really rely on potions a lot don't you. most of my characters don't and I dont like being forced to spam (often expensive) consumables so building around potions is the furthest thing from my mind.

Well If I were designing the pvp I'd disable gear bonuses, CP, and any consumable buff item at all.

By far the best MMO pvp aside from EVE I have ever experienced was in FFXIV where gear and level matters for nothing in pvp.

I would love to playtest a no-potion, no-poisons campaign. I always here people complaining that set "x" or skill "y" is a crutch, but I think the biggest crutch is potions.

i barely use them. your idea is just utterly stupid. because you dont like using them you want to ban them.

So because you are too lazy to farm mats and create potions or too poor to buy them, the rest of us should suffer so you have a more easy time? Also who is the "most people" in your title? I will assume you just mean yourself.

You disable potions in PvP, Alchemy would need a massive overhaul since there is a plethora of effects that are useful for PvP but not so much in PvE (Detect pots come to mind 1st and foremost but Immovability and Invisibility pots are also more useful in PvP than PvE, even if they have some use in PvE content as well). Then, there's also the issue of poisons being less effective than Enchantments in general and would just kill off that entire section of Alchemy all together. Finally, you also kill off several passive abilities and sets that rely on potions to even be usable, such as Argonian Resourceful Passive and Clever Alchemist. It's just an all around terrible idea.

Agree on the no premade groups in Battleground.

Here's an idea to get you up to speed in PVP.

Learn to play...I know that's cliche but...it's true. Potions are a non issue. Use them yourself and you will understand. They are a key puzzle piece that's built into an entire build. If you lack finds to have them purchased, then go farm Telvar for flowers. You can get enough for 200 tri stat pots in half an hour tops of proper farming.

If you take out potions then you limit some stam builds to using 2h and some mag builds to using mages guild to get major buffs. Potions make the game more fun and diverse so I'll take a hard pass.

I'd really like to know how this proper farming is achieved since every time I go out to look for mats for potions it takes half an hour to get maybe enough for 50 pots.

The only reason I sometimes enjoy Battlegrounds is because I can go there with friends. I'm not much into PvP, so if you force me to go on my own you simply won't see me there again.

Even as someone who doesn't PvP much, your ideas sound really ridiculous, with even worse justifications.

"Ban this because I don't like it!" is probably the worst argument you could possibly opt for. Also simply claiming to speak for the majority does not make it so.

'Premades' are not an issue. I sometimes go in to BG with some mates and tbh, we are all 'not awesome' at PVP. I doubt anyone would guess we are premade.

The only time it can be irritating is not matching premades against premades of equal skill BG after BG after BG. Then what if I go in with my partner only. Are we a premade or not? The only issue with premade is with the the 'all these guys are really good' premades, not being put up against teams of comparable skill.

But then the BG is over so fast, you end up doing 2 BG's in 15 mins instead, and getting more AP than winning one.

Potions will never be disabled in PvP. That just does not make sense because it is very much equal for everyone.

Premades are to be expected and since the entire game is build around this idea of grouping, guilds and more grouping Zos will not be preventing grouping for BGs. I have seen premades in every MMO with instanced PVP like BGs and it is just life. There will be no option to avoid premades in any manner.

I think the two issues that bother you are symptoms of other problems.

    1. Premades - There needs to be separate ranked/group queue and solo/unranked queue. Problem solved and the game is better for everyone as a result.

    2. Potions - I don't have any issue with potions or poisons, but I do agree that farming for certain reagents takes too frickin' long. I spent about an hour trying to find a single emetic russula for master crafting writ today. There needs to be more frequent nodes and the nodes need to yield 2x their normal drops, or reagents need to be incorporated into the PVP reward system somehow. The biggest issue I have with PVP is it forces my PVE time to be dominated by mat/reagent farming.

And this is a flaw and something that is complained about in every mmo that has them. Premades have significant advantages over PUGs and they shouldnt be grouped together. One of the few things that ESO decided to borrow from other games, is one of the things that were broken in them. All the stuff that worked in other games, they decided not to use and do it their own way which in most cases is worse.

    1. I agree. If i play in the evenings when all the pvpers get on, i end up on team after team that gets slaughtered in BGS. They just farm us, its not even any fun, so i stop queuing. Earlier in the day, the teams are more balanced.

2 I dont have any issues with potions either. If i removed something from BGs it would be CCs. Constant CC means i cant break free, heal, fight, or run. I just sit there and let them kill me. It ridiculous. They could just make every plant give 2 of herb when you pick it and sometimes get a third. That would help
