Console: anyone else unintentionally block after roll dodge?

Hey guys. I've been a long-time player, and I've ALWAYS played magicka characters, purely on the basis that when I use roll dodge, my character blocks for half a second or thereabouts after performing the dodge, despite me not holding the left trigger on the respective console. Ergo, I use magical characters and rely on shields. This makes me feel like I'm missing out!

I have tried stamina characters, but being that I mainly PVP, this has been an issue that I can't overcome, and causes too much trouble in fights, so I've avoided stamina entirely.

Just wondering if this is a known issue? Is it a mechanic issue? Or is it because my internet is too slow?

This is an issue console players have to deal with. Block is tied to bash and roll dodge. It sucks the most when i go to roll dodge and since you cannot stop block going up for a second, the attacks i should of dodged end up draining my stamina and i take a hit to my hp.

You can prevent the shield coming up at the end my holding block for 0.2-5 seconds longer before the roll dodge but that doesnt change the fact you cant roll dodge without blocking stopping stamima regen.

The no stamina regen while blocking hurts console players so hard due to our keybinds and zos overlooked the change.

Ive made countless threads and videos documenting this and gotten no response. Basically the players who bash or roll dodge less are at an advantage stamina regen wise.

It also makes playing high roll dodge stamina regen builds feel terrible. You roll dodge and stop stamina regen ticks...

I'm on PS4 and I experience this issue a lot, and a similar issue where in an attempt to roll dodge, I block and then jump and don't perform the roll dodge at all. This usually happens when I'm experiencing lag, like the PS4 can't register that I've pressed the L1 and the X at the same time.

Sucks you can't custom keybind on console which is odd because I can custom bind the controller functions on PC, I found the default settings very clumsy so I made Sprint Left Shoulder button and Jump is Right Shoulder button, Dodge Roll is both Left and Right Shoulder button together; it works great as I don't drain extra stamina and if a Dodge Roll fails because of low stamina, I instead jump into the direction I'm going. Ultimate use is Direction Down Key if you're wondering, though it seems to be hard coded on the HUD to show its Left and Right Shoulder Buttons regardless of changing its keybind.

The reason we can't remap on Console like on a PC with gamepad mode is that the UI for remapping lives in Mouse/Keyboard land. ZOS would have the program that UI in gamepad land for Console, something they are unwilling to do.

So, yes we have to live with Jump/Block Problem when dodging. Sucks if you have mechanics with a 1 GCD timer to deal with.
