Reapplying ESO Plus Steam HELP PLEZ

I have 3 months of eso plus on steam and it hasn't run out yet but I wanted to go ahead and add 3 more months to get more crowns but it won't let me. I have done this before and it worked fine but now it won't work, has it been changed where you can't buy more eso plus until your subscription runs out?
I use to be a PVP'er like you but then I took a lag spike to the knee.
