Immovable potions and cc immunity

I don't know if this is new, so please let me figure this out without rude comments.
It seems that when you have cc immunity and you pop a immovable potion the cooldown granted by the potion will not be included. The cc immunity of the break free will go down with his own timer and you'll be vulnerable again.
Is this intended? Is this new? Sorry if this a know thing, I just want to understand the mechanic and improve my gameplay

Rohaus✭✭✭✭✭That is why you need to time it properly. You break CC and wait till the duration is about to end for cc immunity and then pop immovable pot...
Unfortunately, immovable is the only guarantee I have experienced that actually works... without immovable up, I constantly experience double CC...
Cc is broken and the only consistent way to deal with it is immovable.YouTube channel Rohaus Lives!

I don't think it's "intended" but it's not like anyone has made any moves to change it0
