Why is my Spell Power So Low? Help with Mag DK

I have a Mag DK DPS and the Spell Power after major sorcery is 2582.

My Staves are gold. (Not trial staves)
Skoria monster set. (Gold)
5pc silks of the sun (purple)
3pc willpower. (1 spell power enchant. 2 cost reduction enchants)
Apprentice Mundus with 6 pieces divines (333 spell damage)

DPS wise I'm managing 13.6k on the 320k dummy. 10.4k on the 6m dummy. Though I haven't exactly worked out a rotation either which doesn't help.
Edit/Update: As high as 17k DPS on the 320k dummy after dropping some heavy attacks for light attacks, sustain potentially an issue.

Meanwhile on stam builds I can hit upwards of 3200/3300 weapon damage before major brutality. And I haven't done a DPS test but things do die quicker.

Is there any way to bring my Dunmer Mag DK in line with my stamblade + stamsorc?

    Not sure if you want just more flat spell damage or more dps in general. 10k to 6m dummy sounds a bit low if you are over 300cp. I dont have a magDK myself so I cant help much there but a couple of tips:
    1. always throw a light attack before casting a skill (this alone boosted my dps by 4k when I was taught to do this)
    2. For solo play and unorganized groups, lover mundus will usually result in best dps (and divine gears recommended).
    3. Try to figure out a rotation that focuses mainly having as many DoTs ticking as possible and keeping them up. You can probably find a good rotation easily by googling "MagDk rotation Dragon's Bones patch".

    You have a bunch extra on your fire abilities, the silks of the sun bonus is not listed as your spell damage.

    I run Julianos + Silks of the sun and then no monster helm... I have 1pc sliverclaw for crit.

    i do 22K on 300 ping.

    I usually try to get at minimum 8k spell pen on my mDK ( generally from what I've heard that's a good number to shoot for ) since bosses tend to have 18k resists ... fully buffed in PvE I have about 4k spell damage ( more with a few group buffs )

    Stam builds almost always have higher weapon damage than magic builds have spell damage. Sets like sun arent going to show up in your spell damage tooltip. The only time you should really focus on stats is if you are wearing sets that only boost raw stats (julianos, etc). Proc sets, ability buff sets, etc, can be very powerful, but it's not always reflected on your stat page.

    In PVE, my advise is always to focus on gear from a proven build rather than a stat sheet. If you wear gold meta gear, your stats will be what they will be. Someone much better at the class has likely already figured out what is optimal. No shame in copying it until your own DPS increases a fair amount.

    Your problem isnt gear, it's rotation.

    Before i changed to stam i ran as follows:

    Staves - Shock Staff of Martial Knowledge (Nirn back with weapon damage glyph and charged front with shock glyph)

    Head and Shoulders - Ilambris (both heavy and divines with mag glyph)

    Chest, Legs, Feet - Martial Knowledge (all divines with mag glyph)

    Hands, Wait - BSW (both divines with mag glyph)

    Jewellery - BSW (arcane with spell damage glyph)

    My stats were as follows:

    Health - 17.1kk
    Stamina - 10.5k

    Mag Recovery - 750
    Health Recovery - 180
    Stamina Recovery - 580

    Spell Damage 4396
    (With BSW and Weapon Damage glyph proc. 3979 with just BSW proc)
    Spell Crit - 45.7%
    Weapon Damage - 1977
    Weapon Crit - 32%

    Spell Resist - 119.9k
    Physical Resist - 12.7kk
    (Note that these will be higher if you have Volatile Armour on and active)

    My bars looked like this (i labelled the buttons i had them on as i play xbox):

    Bar 1:

    X - Flame Lash
    Y - Engulfing Flames
    B - Burning Embers
    LB - Inner Light (passives only)
    RB - Elemental Blockade
    Ult - Shooting Star (purely for passives, though i do swap out for warhorn sometimes if its needed in trials etc)

    Bar 2:

    X - Harness Magicka (sometimes swapped for Elemental Drain or Volatile Armour depending)
    Y - Eruption
    B - Flames of Oblivion (swapped out for Draw Essence for trash mobs)
    LB - Inner Light (passives only)
    RB - Molten Armaments
    Ult - Elemental Rage

    Start on back bar - Molten Arms > LA > Eruption > LA > Inner Light > Elemental Rage > LA > Flames > Bar Swap
    Engulfing > LA > Embers > LA > Blockade > Lash then LA (x 5/6) > LA > Engulfing > LA > Embers > LA > Blockade > LA then Lash (x2/3) > Bar Swap and repeat

    Reason for using Inner Light prior to Rage is because of the damage buff it gives you. My build relied on off balance for damage and i would be able to pull 25-30k no problem. With the changes to off balance you can still run this build but you would need to change change Flame Lash to Molten Whip and instead of going "LA > Whip" you would instead do "HA > Whip" and reduce the amount down to 2 or 3 before reapplying DoTs again.

    EDIT - I'm was a Dunmer (DK MasterRace) and also a stage 4 Vamp (too lazy to manage at stage 3).

    You actually have 400+ spell Damage that does not show up on your stats thanks to sun, so you actually have around 3k for most of your skills.

    Also drop the cost reduction glychs and put spell damage there, it will up your heavy attack damage a ton and make it easier to sustain and do good DPS at the same time.

    After swapping out to 3 Spell Power enchantments I now have exactly 2500 Spell Power.
    After major sorcery I have 3000.

    Is there any way to squeeze out another ~200?

    619 CP. I know 10k is pretty low. Especially with 619 CP. Though I figure flat damage will help more at first until I find a rotation.

    You do know that with the sun set it doesn't show up in your overall spell damage,just specific flame abilities. Right?

    do you have any points in Master-at-Arms? If not, that is one of the issues... Master-at-Arms increases the initial hit damage of skills ... whip... etc.... also, with the ele expert ( 75 cps ) the game rounds down whole numbers in the CP's so even though you have 14% according to the cp, its actually only 13% ... 76 cps would give you the actual 14%

    in my blue tree I tend to run

    48 - thaumaturge ( 18.24% DoT dmg )
    56 - Master-at-Arms ( 20.15% direct dmg )
    76 - Ele Expert ( 14.2% flame/mag dmg )
    37 - Spell Erosion ( 3184 pen )
    23 - Elfborn ( 10.22% crit dmg )

    ... i still am trying to find the perfect setup gear wise ... will be testing out calluurion and sun as well as callurrion and bsw to see which is better dmg wise
