Hell Guys and Ladies,

I was just wondering if anyone body know whether or not there is an alternative way of downloading the game as the Client Laucher seems to be very buggy, Having tried to install it more then 4 times getting a error towards the end of the download and clicking repair to start all over again!

There isn't an alternative download as far as I know. You can try contacting customer support at https://help.elderscrollsonline.com/ (see the right sidebar to choose between email and phone support).

Otherwise, make sure you have enough Hard Drive space, ESO is a massive download. You need at least 60 GB free on the drive you are installing to according to the system requirements.

If you were able to post what error message you received, you might be able to get better help as well (you'll need the error code/error message before contacting support anyway or there probably isn't much they could help you with).

First, players should make sure to disabling their anti-virus and firewall software as this may be causing a problem with the installation. Be sure to turn everything back on afterwards.

Next, players should run the installer/patcher as an administrator. This generally fixes any write protection or restriction issues that can sometimes cause problems.

Additionally, if players have overclock turned on, they should try to turn it off.
If this doesn't resolve the issue, pause the download and click on the Repair option within the patcher itself. If the Repair option is not visible, manually cancel the update. This should allow the Repair button to appear. If the launcher continues to update, click Settings and turn automatic updates off.
If players are still not able to get past that error message, they will need to uninstall the game completely, and restart the computer. Once this is done, delete hidden folders. To reveal hidden folders, please follow the instructions on the Microsoft website: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/show-hidden-files#show-hidden-files=windows-7

Now, open Windows Explorer and type C:\programdata in the address bar. Finally, find and delete the Zenimax Online or ESO folder. Then, re-download the installer from https://account.elderscrollsonline.com.

Players can also try repeating the above process and change the installation directory directly to the C: drive, outside of the Program Files folder.
If this doesn't resolve the issue, please reply with a copy of your DxDiag and MSInfo. Players can use this article if they require assistance with retrieving their DxDiag and MSInfo.
