PUrchase Monster sets with AP

I really hate doing PVE content, the PVP is all I really want to play but why do developers insist on forcing people through content that is not enjoyable to them? PVE players that don't want to PVP shouldn't have to if they want any items from PVP locations and same for the other group... those that enjoy both have it.

why do I hate PVE? developers lack total creativity when it comes to the success of PVE content, you basically have to do everything just so and if you mess up any one part of a fight you die instantly and must start over. this has been the common theme for raids, trials, vet dungeon... so boring. At least in PVP combat is dynamic where in PVE its static, figure the mechanic and move on and once you complete it, you have a CHANCE to get what you want.. didn't get it well you can just be miserable and do it again.

Last thought on the better do every single step right or your die and must start over again is so demoralizing to most that as I sit here trying to complete veteran Scalercaller, people seem to just quit out when they have been killed 3 - 4 times and the group never goes any where.. wow so much fun. Yes I belong to some guilds but I don't play as often as most so I don't have the recognition others have and cant get in to the vet runs as the typical questions asked is "have you completed this on vet before"? When I say I have not but understand the mechanics I get "sorry bro complete it first on vet then will take you, its just too much hassle taking untested people in as we just want to complete it as fast as possible. Hmmm I wonder why they want to complete it as fast as possible? perhaps because its BORING and assigning after the first few times????

I always wonder the same thing when going for vigor/caltrops.

Also, it sounds like you have some *** people in your guilds if they aren't willing to chance you in a new dungeon, or even attempt to teach you. My guilds are by no means cutting edge, but the only time someone is met with rejection is when their roll/s are filled, and people always leave with a better understanding of the mechanics. Get a guild that isn't full of D-bags, and you will notice a change for the better.

We need to do out Cyrodil Pilgrimage when levelling a new toon to get skills that should not be locked behind a PvP wall. You should have to do your Dungeon one.

Do them on normal. Get your 3 keys a day. Unlock middle chest (assuming since you're talking about scalecaller)
Gather up AP and buy the helmet when it comes out at the golden one.

Otherwise. Enjoy PvE. Gonna be there a while. Just like the rest of us have to be in PvP for longer than we would like.

#1) You can buy monster shoulder and helms with AP. True, it's random, but you still can.
#2) This seems less like a post asking about getting monster sets with AP, and more just a rant against PvE.

Just play your way. Don't like PvE? Then just don't do it! You might be slightly less optimal then the player who enjoys both, or even doesn't enjoy it but does what is necessary to be better at the thing he/she enjoys without the need to whine constantly about it.
There is no greatness without sacrifice. Remember that during your next dungeon run for your wanted monster helm..

ZOS should consider placing those items on a vendor for alliance rank plus alliance points with a static listing. For ones tied to dlc they could make having purchased dlc or having an active subscription part of the requirement to buy them with alliance rank plus alliance points.

In the end it just comes down where players want to spend their time, I don’t understand why that should matter if does not negatively impact the revenue they receive. Alliance rank can function as a way to ensure that the players have spent a significant amount time playing the game when dealing with pvp.

Sure.. and whilst they are at it.. they can make the Assault and Support trees unlock and progress by completing your faction quest lines in their respective Zones as you are supporting the war effort and defending your own areas from Molag Ball's invasion, whilst fighting off NPCs from the other factions trying to invade.

They could make the first 4-5 only unlock the skills (Warhorn, Caltrops, purge, vigor) and leave the passives for the last 5 levels.

5 zones per faction, 1 level per zone. Want the passives, gotta dive into PvP as they are PvP effective and get the last 5 levels.

ESO isn't just a pvp game, so I for one don't think you should be able to get everything you want just from doing a small fraction of the game. We all have to do a lot of stuff we dont' like to do for gear. Just b/c you are a PvEr doesn't mean you like farming stuff. Also, as someone that does do all parts of the game, lets not pretend PvP is all that varied lol, it's the same stuff everytime you play, just like a dungeon. I guess it's not the exact rotation, but it really isn't that much different.
