Campaigns seem crowded and overrun with certain factions almost 24/7. I'd like to hear everyone's thoughts on the idea of a few more ICs. Back when Xarxes and the other one were up, in my opinion, the districts were a lot less ganky.

    The campaigns aren't that crowded, they just lag due to ZOS incompetence. Personally I don't think I've ever seen Vivec and Shor both poplock'd at the same time. The only reason Xarxes was ''less ganky'' (In IC) was because players were spread across more campaigns.

    IC is supposed to be ganky. IC is at its worse on dead campaigns in which players can grind easy mobs for TV without any risk. IC on a dead campaign is just another boring PVE zone.

    One of the benefits to separating IC and Cyrodiil is it would make it easier for ZOS to manage the populations of each. That would help ensure IC's population is always as consolidated as possible -- which would be a very good thing IMO.

    @nryerson1025 - are you saying that IC is crowded and overrun? The reason I ask is that when people refer to campaigns, it's usually a reference to Cyrodii, not IC, so I'm a little confused. If you are talking about IC (not Cyrodiil), do you mean the district areas, the sewers, or both? It would also help if you let us know what platform you are on and whether you are EU or NA.

    I do tend to agree with you. Sometimes AD has a very strong presence in IC, but I mostly see EP or DC with all flags capped.

    Ideally, the Imperial City has an active population of all three factions.

    That doesn't often work out that way in practice. More often, each faction dominates a different campaign because that's the easiest way to farm tel var or quest. The times that I do see an active pop of all three factions on the same campaign in IC is during the anniversary events or midyear mayhem.

    When I decided to complete the Imperial City questline, I did it on Xarxes and didn't see another player that entire time. So I guess that makes it less ganky, but I'd argue that an empty IC with practically no players is not the state we want the content to be in.

    You mentioned your home campaign, but you didn't say anything about a guest campaign. You can set BOTH a home campaign and a guest campaign, which basically gives you two separate "IC instances" to choose from.

    Once you've set both your home and guest campaigns, pick whichever one you want when you travel to Cyrodiil.

    I always go to my home campaign when I want to pvp. But, when I'm in the mood to farm for Tel Var, I prefer to go when my faction owns a few of the districts. If none of the districts are my color on my home campaign, then I travel to my guest campaign and check them out there.

    You can go back and forth between your home and guest campaigns whenever you want, as many times as you want. The only thing you can't do on your guest campaign is get on the leader boards or become emperor.

    I'm sick of being poor all the time. I have no clue how to make gold in this game outside of telvar farming and that's *** now that IC is flooded with farming zergs or gankers that couldn't win an actual 1v1 even if they tried.

    I might have selfish thinking here, but I couldn't care less. If I want to pvp I go to cyro or BGs, not in a zone that's flooded with bosses, NPCs and bunch of bs one hit mechanics...

    The population in IC is higher now because of people farming Tel Var for storage.

    As for making gold, I recommend running around the starter zones for a few hours grabbing all the mats and alchemy reagents you see and selling them on guild stores. Plus, the mobs are easier.

    if it mattered - i'd vote for fewer instances of IC...

    i wish IC was it's own map (with direct acces)...one vet and one non vet instance...

    Like a solo or group instance where PvE players can do the quests without being harassed?

    The storage chests are new, so yea, not surprising that there is an influx of players in IC farming tel var. But there is a limit on the number of storage chests a player can own, and although I could be wrong, it is my understanding that you can't sell storage chests, sooooo .... give it a month or two and IC should be pretty dead again.

    As for making gold, it depends on how much gold you are trying to make. I've been playing for roughly 3 years now, never joined a guild and prefer being a solo player. Through trial-and-error I found the best way for making enough gold to suit my needs has been:

    1. Maxing out my crafting skills (yea, all of them) in order to get the maximum amount of gold from doing crafting writs. I would net around 5K per day by doing all the daily crafting writs. And yes, I farmed all my own materials.
    2. I learned to solo most of the undaunted dungeons on normal mode. I like farming there because they are instanced, which means I am the only one there. If you can't solo the final boss, it really doesn't matter if you are just there to farm. The loot drops are better there than in public dungeons. As my inventory gets full I sell to my merchant. Through merchant sales alone I can get around 3-5k per dungeon run.
    3. I also farm crafting materials top-side a few hours each week whether I need to or not, and depending on how many mobs I kill along the way, and how many chests I stumble across, that can easily net me another 2-5K per 2-hour run (selling to the merchant).

    I have accumulated tons of gear sets (including jewelry and weapons) ... I save many of them to use 'down the road', I craft anything I want and rarely, if ever, have to buy crafting materials. All my weapons are golded out, as are my 'most used' armor sets.

    I generally spend my gold on difficult-to-find furniture recipes and motifs, and luxury items. I bought my own house as well as a few inn rooms.

    Now, keep in mind, that I always sell to my merchant. If I had been in a guild, I'd probably have a few million in the bank by now from all those sales. But ... since my choice is to minimize drama and to spend my time in-game unwinding, relaxing, and having fun, I prefer to stay guildless and play solo.

    IC is completely dead on my server even in the main campaign.

    I have every character level 50, both a magicka and stamina version.

    I want 3 instances. CP, No CP, and below level 50. That will cover all three types of PVP campaigns currently available.

    No. It's supposed to be ganky.

    I want it separated from the campaigns though. Or integrated, so it matters in overland who's in there flipping districts.

    And as long as I'm asking for things, a placeable portal in my house I can step through and be in the sewer base. B) Thank you!
    Classes that don't need any class ability nerfs: Nightblades, Dragonknights, Sorcs, Templars, Wardens.

    I think the OPPOSITE needs to happen: just ONE CP instance and ONE No-CP instance is all IC needs.

    I agree with @zyk , the City is most fun when there are lots of players coming into contact with each other!
