SpiderSenseiSoul ShrivenAs you know, a keyboard does not come standard with an XBox. Though, nearly any USB Plug-n-Play will work. You can also get a "Chat Pad". Or, don't. ESO is so robust with emotes, voice chat, and detailed environments that alot of the heavy lifting of text based chat is freed up to focus on characters.
"Frees-from-Chains retrieves his arrow from the scamp. He thinks, I can't stand the smell of these things. Sulfur and death." There isn't an emote for this and hammering it out one letter at a time on a controller can take away from the experience.
Can't I just say what my character is doing in voice chat? Yes, you can. Though, you and/or others may choose to play characters that do not sound like "you", which is kinda the point sometimes.
But, don't let not having a keyboard delay you from joining in the fun, which you can do with the info in the first post. ; )
