I need help with my stamina Templar

What should I use for healing I tried rally it doesn't heal me that much upfront and vigor isn't working that well

Vigor is working well ... given you do have enough stamina (starting at 28k-> open end ).

But if you still level, a templar-hybrid (with the main focus on stamina) may solve your trouble. Use pelinals and a max of 8 attribute points in magica (actually you do not really need them but for starters it helps) (Important: do not spend attribute points on health). Keep weapon damage high and you should be able to utilize all templar heals (well healing ritual will do, i guess).

So, i assume your attribute points are not spend in a helpfull manner (you can respec them in each fractions cathedrals for 3400 gold). Either go full stamina and enjoy 10k+ heals from vigor ... or another way to do it is to try hybrid (strongly stamina focused -> i.e. only healing with magica -hybrid).

    Hope that helps and GL

You picked the wrong morph if you're looking for self-healing. Also if this is for PvP make sure you cleanse any healing debuffs before casting your heals. Extended Ritual will not only get rid of heal debuffs but it will give you minor mending.

    PVE or PVP.

in PvE vigor heals me for a lot, put cp into blessed and quick recovery for even more healing and ensure your weapon damage is decent, keep major brutality up to ensure higher weapon damage when healing. You can use restoring focus skill for minor vitality (8% more heals) if you are struggling.

In PVP your heals are halved so will feel a lot weaker.

BoL on a stamina build is a waste of a bar slot and a global cooldown.

Rally heals quite a lot unless you spam it. If you recast after about 15s you can almost fully heal from that. Also Repentance is a neat skill that heals and gives you back stamina in PvE trash fights but less so in boss fights or PvP where you have too few bodies to repent, so Vigor is better in those situations.

If you slot it just for the purge, you should have picked the other morph, Extended Ritual, because it purges more effects; it's also cheaper than Efficient Purge, 3.5K vs. 4.7K magicka, but still pretty expensive for a stamina player. The heal will be negligible though. Restoring Focus is fine, though it's rather hard to make use of Major Ward & Resolve since you need to step on the rune every 8s or also recast it, but it's rather cheap, at around 1.7K magicka.

I like to keep restoring focus up either by recasting after 8 seconds or often times when circling around a fight, just cross back through.

Be proactive with Vigor and use it more like a damage shield before taking damage, and rally should be kept up so that it’s been active for some time before you neeed it, then use extended ritual right before the second rally for the heal.

Was a big change from magicka Templar for me to learn to be proactive on the heals rather than just BOL when needed but really would be a good habit anyway. I find I like the healing on my Stamplar better now than some magicka classes.

It doesn't. Also you only need one of the abilities active at any given time to get the minor mending passive for yourself. Also, as opposed to a magicka Templar you will need to cast Extended Ritual re-actively, to purge negative effects after you have them on you, rather than pro-actively, to heal. Of course, the group can make use of the synergy to purge themselves for 2 effects. But otherwise, that skill is not that useful. If you want to really hurt the enemy, put PotL on him then stack bleeds (ex. Master's 1H Axe w Blood Craze/Rending Slashes and/or 2H Axe w Brawler , put pressure with Biting Jabs and execute with Reverse Slice. Blood Craze will also heal you to a much greater extent since it does scale on maximum stamina and weapon damage.

If you're tring to show that the skill does damage I think @Asardes know that it does. His point was that it's an insignificant amount of damage on a Stamplar since it's magic damage. It already doesn't do much damage on a magplar and the ability to cleanse 5 effects with the press of a button makes Extended Ritual one of the strongest skills in PvP. I mean just think of all the 'negative effects' that you get in PvP.
