Do you think it would be cool/fun to open up a new ranged weapon skill line for Rifles? I am not sure if this fits into lore to be honest.
Wanted to clarify I meant more along the lines of World of Warcraft style mores than the realism from Call of Duty.

    I think they should literally make this a completely different game to accommodate these ideas and the people who have these desires. That way when they do we can at least rest easy knowing that ESO was free of Dragon mounts and guns.

    I wanted so badly to make that fighters guild crossbow work - super cool "hip fire" for animation...

    sadly at the moment, it's pretty useless though...maybr one day eso will give it back it's knockdown effect...

    rip - the only legit "gun" in the game...

    its called steampunk. fantasy can encompass a lot of different time periods, including modern times.

    that said, even dwemmer constructs use crossbows, and dwemmer technology is as advanced as we get in this game, so... no, it doesn't fit into the lore as i know it.

    i WOULD love an actual crossbow though

    Just... no. I hated the gun in the Assassin's Creed Brotherhood multiplayer - mostly because it was used by the highly unskilled and the trolls. I don't think it belongs in ESO at all.

    I would vote no.

    But looking at the cuurent rate of technology in some areas of Tamriel its a wonder why there arent rifles or other 'guns' when you consider anti gravity floating islands and fully automated intelligent mechanical life forms, instant travel over long distances, NPC enemies who launch explosive devices at players and electrified hazards to name but a few examples of more advanced technologies than a rifle.

    LOL. Says no rifles but votes yes. I take it the yes is for Necromancy? Too bad that doesn't show in the polls though.

    I say No. Cross Bows Yes. Damn I miss my cross bows from TES III Morrowind days. Can we add spears adding it to the Necromancer? Throwing spears to boot? :D

    Probably something like a temporary boost to critical hit chance on selected limbs or a one time guaranteed hit with a very long cooldown. Would be rather impractical to slow down the entire world every time somebody entered VATS. It would take a month just for people to make it out of the starting area.
