Possible health desync issue causing sudden, unexpected deaths

Hi,

There seems to be a new type of HP bug in the game. The old one, where your hp bar doesn't go up to 100% but, instead, the game client claims you have e.g. 14480 / 20756 hp (like my character does right now) is still there but there is a new one as well that goes in the opposite direction: your client shows you having plenty of HP when, in fact, you only have a fraction of that figure in reality. This has caused numerous inexplicable deaths in Cyrodiil and duels where combat logs do not show any explanation to the sudden death.

I just dueled with a guild mate and in two separate fights, his client showed him having well over 10k health while, on my screen, his health dipped steadily from my Soul Assault channel. Later, in a duel against another player, I died the same way: my client showed me having over 14k health, so I wasn't too worried about healing (I got almost 30k both resists + 2.8k crit resist), and then I just inexplicably died.

Based on a little bit of testing, it would appear to be related to channeling/damage over time abilities that don't deal the full damage immediately. Some kind of desync in relaying the damage tick information beyond the initial, first tick, to the client or something.

I will post a video, if I can catch this in action while running OBS.

I play on PC/EU megaserver.

EDIT: Modified the title since I am obviously only speculating about the cause.

    This doesn't really provide proof but here's the end of one of our duels from my perspective. You can see my opponent's HP dipping at a steady pace while, on his screen, he never dropped below 6k hp until, all of a sudden, he just died.

    We'll try to get a video that shows the fight from both players' perspectives but, can not provide one immediately since he doesn't have any video recording software installed at the moment.

    Notice that, on his screen, he had over 6k HP left after my Purifying Light had hit him for 3896 damage. In the video above, that same Purifying Light is what finished him off.

    Over 10k HP when suddenly *BOOM* dead. On my screen his HP dipped just like in the video above.

    EDIT: Note, that it's not just Improved Death Recap; in all of his cases, and all of my cases, the client's own HP bar shows pretty much identical figures. ~40% or so HP left, no worr*BOOM* dead, without any sudden bursts of damage.

    I've noticed this in Cyrodiil, especially when hit with Snipes from bows. You can just be fighting, and have full HP, then you character kinda stutters, then you explode. Full HP to nothing, in a time so fast, you can't even react. Although, maybe this is a different bug to even this one... lol
