I think its time for a lightning based Monster Set. We only have one so far, Stormfist, and thats for stamina builds... I really would love one for my mag sorc. To being honest, probably only for aestethic reasons, i just dont like to have fire based attacks on my lightning based sorc. But also because i could think of some pretty good ideas for this kind of monster set. Also i like to use 2 lightning staves, so i wont use ilambris, which still the only viable ranged magicka Monster Set. Nerieneth would maybe work too, but it has health as stat (which is ridiculous), so probably not.
Also i would love to see one thats not based on fire. We have already 6 of those!
Domihaus (which is only melee)
Grothdarr (only melee too)
Ilambris (only viable with fire and lightning)
Infernal Guardian (noone uses this)
Zaan (kind of only melee too)
As i said, ligthning is only Stormfist... and Ilambris i guess. And ice based is only Iceheart, but ice isnt worth using as element for dps anyways, so...
Following a few ideas i could think of for lightning based Monster Sets. And new ones at all for that matter. I mean, Domihaus and Grothdarr are pretty much exactly the same, they were REALLY lazy while designing those. The first piece bonus for all of those would probably be magicka.
1. When hitting an enemie with a fully charged heavy attack (im thinking of staff here, but lets keep it for melee too), teleport to that enemie with a lighning that strikes at this location that does 10k shock damage (ill just use generic numbers here that i pull out of my a...) and stuns the enemie. This can occur every 8 seconds (or whatever).
2. When hitting an enemie with shock based damage, you have a 10% chance of creating a link between you and the enemie, which does 5k per second for 6 seconds to the enemie and 3k to every other enemie between you and the target. This can occur every 12 seconds.
3. When hitting at least 3 enemies at the same time/with the same attack (or ground based attacks or something), those enemies get pulled together and form a conductor, that periodically attacks them and 3 other random enemies in its vicinity for 2k per hit per second for 8 seconds. This can occur every 12 seconds.
Those are just some ideas i came up with right now. Ofc its debatable if those are realistic, but i just wanted to give some instances.
For having a lightning based Monster Set, you pretty much would need a lighning based Dungeon Boss, but i think we need more of those also anyways. I cant think of many lightning based bosses except for all on Tempest Island, The Netchs in Darkshade Caverns and Ilambris (at least one of them...).
But i have hope. It looks like the next 2 DLC Dungeons should be set in the Aldmeri Dominion (just because thats the only location that lacks 2 DLC Dungeons so far...), and high elves and the land itself is connected to magic, which you can conncet lightning to. Tempest Island is located there too, so it would really fit the topic.
So what do you think? Do you want this too? Do you care at all? Do you have more ideas for lightning based Monster Sets? I would love to hear as many as possible.

We don't have much for frost themed monster sets either. I think Iceheart is the only one.
