Lighting Themed Monster Set

I think its time for a lightning based Monster Set. We only have one so far, Stormfist, and thats for stamina builds... I really would love one for my mag sorc. To being honest, probably only for aestethic reasons, i just dont like to have fire based attacks on my lightning based sorc. But also because i could think of some pretty good ideas for this kind of monster set. Also i like to use 2 lightning staves, so i wont use ilambris, which still the only viable ranged magicka Monster Set. Nerieneth would maybe work too, but it has health as stat (which is ridiculous), so probably not.
Also i would love to see one thats not based on fire. We have already 6 of those!

Domihaus (which is only melee)
Grothdarr (only melee too)
Ilambris (only viable with fire and lightning)
Infernal Guardian (noone uses this)
Zaan (kind of only melee too)

As i said, ligthning is only Stormfist... and Ilambris i guess. And ice based is only Iceheart, but ice isnt worth using as element for dps anyways, so...

Following a few ideas i could think of for lightning based Monster Sets. And new ones at all for that matter. I mean, Domihaus and Grothdarr are pretty much exactly the same, they were REALLY lazy while designing those. The first piece bonus for all of those would probably be magicka.

1. When hitting an enemie with a fully charged heavy attack (im thinking of staff here, but lets keep it for melee too), teleport to that enemie with a lighning that strikes at this location that does 10k shock damage (ill just use generic numbers here that i pull out of my a...) and stuns the enemie. This can occur every 8 seconds (or whatever).
2. When hitting an enemie with shock based damage, you have a 10% chance of creating a link between you and the enemie, which does 5k per second for 6 seconds to the enemie and 3k to every other enemie between you and the target. This can occur every 12 seconds.
3. When hitting at least 3 enemies at the same time/with the same attack (or ground based attacks or something), those enemies get pulled together and form a conductor, that periodically attacks them and 3 other random enemies in its vicinity for 2k per hit per second for 8 seconds. This can occur every 12 seconds.

Those are just some ideas i came up with right now. Ofc its debatable if those are realistic, but i just wanted to give some instances.
For having a lightning based Monster Set, you pretty much would need a lighning based Dungeon Boss, but i think we need more of those also anyways. I cant think of many lightning based bosses except for all on Tempest Island, The Netchs in Darkshade Caverns and Ilambris (at least one of them...).
But i have hope. It looks like the next 2 DLC Dungeons should be set in the Aldmeri Dominion (just because thats the only location that lacks 2 DLC Dungeons so far...), and high elves and the land itself is connected to magic, which you can conncet lightning to. Tempest Island is located there too, so it would really fit the topic.

So what do you think? Do you want this too? Do you care at all? Do you have more ideas for lightning based Monster Sets? I would love to hear as many as possible.

    Idea:


    [Insert Future Dungeon Boss Name Here] Set

    1 piece: 129 Magicka Recovery

    2 piece: When you deal Area of Effect damage with Shock damage, you have a 10% chance to cast earth-shattering lightning bolts upon all enemies within the Area of Effect, each bolt dealing 7650 Shock Damage and stunning them for 2 seconds. May occur every 11 seconds.


    (Edit: I built this set around the main theme of Lightning being AoE, most of the passives in Destro Staff make Lightning Staves deal extra AoE damage.)

    It would be neat to have another lightning-based monster set for magicka.
    I've used Ilambris on my sorc with great results.

    At this point I just wish monster sets were not mostly “get x free damage if you meet y condition“. It wasn’t always that way. There are so many interesting things you could do that isn’t just damage based.

    Yeah agree we need more lighting focused monster sets, Zos is reacting to the general use tho by the player base (they have the numbers on it and all) So that's probably why it has been fire focused because that what we are using.

    Ice staff changes were due to this as well (I could rant but not the thread for it) lol

    Kinda a catch 22 as if we don't have the sets to use of course we are going to use the fire ones. But Agree with op please add more shock damage monster sets to the game. :)

    I just realized i forgot Valkyn Skoria as a fire based monsterset. I have no idea how i forgot that. So we have 7 if i didnt forget another one.

    Agreed! Would be really nice to have such monster set. Teleportation thing sounds great, by the way; it fits perfectly with the lore about lightning spells. I wonder if it'll be conveniently to play as summoner with such set, though.

    Ok, i was more on the PvE side on this topic, so i dont know how all of thise Sets are in PvP, but ye, PvP would be a factor with all new Sets too ofc.

    So long as there are plenty sets that work for MagSorc I don’t see the fuss. Ilambris and Lich work absolutely fine for PvE. Skoria too for Dark Elf MagSorcs. Infernal Guardian, Slimecraw, Engine Guardian and Clanfear are great options for PvP. Quite frankly I never felt like I lacked options as a MagSorc.

    The reason Zaan was added as another fire set was most likely to help magicka melee DPS in trials. Since they are all fire based (DK,Templar,NB) and they lag behind stamina.

    Its not about that there are no options. Its about more options. I really cant get behind this "Everything just needs to be good enough, not good"-Thinking from 95% of all people. Good enough means not good, there is ALWAYS room for improvement. Nothing is perfect, but you can get as close to it as possible. But sadly noone does that. Never has, never will...
    This game could be so great, but almost every player takes the game like it is atm at face value and does not think about how you could maybe improve it more. And if players think that way, the devs have no reason to improve anything, because we just suck it up doesnt matter how much it sucks. Im one of the people that wants to make the devs work again for a better game then Eso is atm.

    I'm gonna say it was because you mentioned stormfist for stam, then kind of acted like mag didn't have a lightning based set.

    We don't have much for frost themed monster sets either. I think Iceheart is the only one.

    Yep it is. But as i said, Ice is (sadly) no DPS Element, they completley mauled it. But i would be for some Ice Monstersets too, why not. Still can do dmg, and still can be useful for tanks and healers maybe.
