my biggest problem with the game is the class system

i think the schools should be more like actual schools of training, so ranking up warrior should give warrior skills, and mage should give mage skills
and the base "class" shouldn't be role specific
i dont want to reroll a entirely new character because i want to try a different playstyle

im a night blade, and like theres no way my class can be anything other than what it is

I've maimed a Nightblade since pc launch. I've been a stamina dd, magicka dd, tank, and currently a healer.

Outside of trials and dlc vet dungeons, nightblade can still fill all of those roles admirably. I only stopped tanking with mine because stamina sustain became impossible in trials, but he was still a good tank for pledges. With a healer setup he can do both (and do more damage than most healers at the same time).

You just need to work around the system we have. Zos is slowly working to give each class a damage tree, tanking tree, and healing tree to make role selection and fulfillment easier.

Classes are not role specific as if so. Yes, a couple classes are favored for healing and tanking but that’s as close as it gets. All classes can play all roles. Heck, I have a character that can play all roles merely by changing gear and skills. Doesn’t get more feeedom or choice than that.

As for the rest of the thoughts presented, MMORPGs have designs and most, of mornall, the major ones have classes. Regardless, the game will not be changed in such a drastic manner as the ideas above would require.

That for me is actually the best thing about this game.

Everytime you play one of your characters it feels different.

If everyone could use the same skills combat would be boring.

The most fun I've had on this game is learning new classes and making builds for them. When a class "clicks" for you and you fully understand it, it's a great feeling.

I don’t think it is a must to have any class for any role. But i do support for every role, there need to be more than 1 solid choice.

Only good nightblade is a maimed one. then they do 15% less damage.

The base classes aren't role specific. Some are better at certain roles than others, but you can fulfil any role with any class.

Class may not be tied to specific roles, but some combinations are utterly absurd. Try a DK healer and tell me about it.

Ive been trying to find this ZOS post for a while, where have you seen it? It makes me wonder what line they will change in my sorc, since its basically all dps and pets galore.

    .

One of my guildies has run a DK healer since she started playing the game. Not absurd at all.

I have to start a nerf maim thread now to save NBs. I wouldn’t want to start a buff NB since who does that.

I just want more diversity. Or make hybrids a real thing. You're either stamina or majicka. So either you dual wield or use a magic stick with a wee bit of class flavor thrown in.
