I’m back from quitting ESO and I have a lesson to teach.

Dapper Dinosaur✭✭✭✭✭Don't bother guys, this person doesn't know what "clear and CONCISE" means.
When you're making a video, you have three main types:
1. Informative
2. Entertainment
3. Opinion/Podcast
The video this guy classifies his as is type 3 when it should be type 1. This means his video is long-winded and does not fit the target audience, which is why the feedback is overwhelmingly trying to convince him to get to the damn point.
If you're going to make long-winded droning videos, don't do it for a subject that people are looking for help/tutorials for. For those kinds of videos, you need to be clear and quick so people don't feel like they're wasting their time watching. This is not the kind of thing you use a Podcast format for.
He's probably going to throw this feedback out the window too, because I've been reading his posts up to now and he's extremely arrogant and quite frankly a *censored word*. He needs a serious attitude adjustment and clearly his parents did not raise him to have a base-level of respect for others. I have not watched the video in question (he is going to jump on this I'm sure), but if he really is cussing up a storm in what is supposed to be a helpful video, that tells me all about his character and upbringing that I need to know. Attacked? People gave honest advice about the length of his video compared to the actual content and he gets incredibly defensive.

"It's just that if you get to the point earlier in the video..."
"I say many things in the video, at all the times, long videos are best videos!"
"But most of the things you are talking about are not relevant to the topic..."
"I don't like relevant. People like passive background videos on irrelevant things. If you want relevant read a newspaper!"

In fairness, the first two "attacks" were fair critic to a video posted and were not rude. Believe or not being a "fair critic" doesn't go hand in hand with incendiary attacks. Saying you like someones voice and I got bored within 5 minutes isn't exactly stelar advice or something he can grow from without noticing its a shot below the belt in some fashion.
Lets not pretend people wern't using it as an avenue to be that funny guy.
That said, I'm not here to defend him - he can do that himself. However, I do think its low brow that people are attacking him and theres that stink of being a *** for the sake of being a ***.
I like you man. I enjoy this though. If he didn’t say that 5 minute thing, I’d be understanding. But kid gloves off man. I have other videos of DPS tests that get to the point. I then have explanation videos that teach rotations for over 15 to 20 minutes. People need to be walked through at some instances. Advanced players only need 2 minute dps test videos and know what to do just by watching. If you’re advanced, my videos don’t relate to you. If you’re new, the length is needed. By now you should know how to do writs and surveys and how to get them in a routine of you’ve been playing the game for years. If you have not, my videos of length are for you. Simple. But ignorance is great online. You can’t tell who’s understanding.PS4/PS5 NA

Fair enough on the nice voice post, I will concede that it was lacking of detail. However it was feedback about their feelings when viewing it giving hits at the length being too long.

I think you're a good guy - you're the kinda person the forum needs who has honest interest in helping. I remember your leaving video and thinking how crass it was with the typical "can I have your stuff" jokes and all that kinda BS. I have found ESO to be one of the most contentious games out.
So, when you had some time to cool off and sort yourself - instead of saying welcome back or something akin to that its more snide remarks. It just didn't sit well with me. If you really want to reach out, subtitles are best. That way folk with profound deafness can read. Now, granted, subtitles (the automated kind) can be a bit dodgy at times but generally they're good enough to understand what's going on. For many folk with deafness, hearing aids don't help so...subtitles!

Nothing to learn from the video really. Lots of words though. The good teachers/professors don't mind constructive criticism if a lesson is confusing because of how they're teaching. You might be grown, however judging by your replies its kind of hard to tell, actually. Hate to tell you; I enjoyed college, and my double major. Lots of classes, professors, and different teaching styles. None of them thought swearing was a valid teaching tool. Your video truly doesn't qualify as "teaching". I will however, follow your last suggestion and use the ignore function.

But good luck with forum farming and view farming. I'm sure you'll be great.
(IMO, I suspect you're making your videos long to keep people there longer looking for the worthwhile content, not listening to it. After all, they have to remain watching for a certain period of time for the view count to go up, right?)

My favourite type of video (aside from having sub-titles) is one that is crafted just as a good news story or paper is. Up front, straight away, the core of the matter and then on to fleshing it out.

Believe or not being a "fair critic" doesn't go hand in hand with incendiary attacks. Saying you like someones voice and I got bored within 5 minutes isn't exactly stelar advice or something he can grow from without noticing its a shot below the belt in some fashion.
Lets not pretend people wern't using it as an avenue to be that funny guy.
That said, I'm not here to defend him - he can do that himself. However, I do think its low brow that people are attacking him and theres that stink of being a *** for the sake of being a ***.
I like you man. I enjoy this though. If he didn’t say that 5 minute thing, I’d be understanding. But kid gloves off man. I have other videos of DPS tests that get to the point. I then have explanation videos that teach rotations for over 15 to 20 minutes. People need to be walked through at some instances. Advanced players only need 2 minute dps test videos and know what to do just by watching. If you’re advanced, my videos don’t relate to you. If you’re new, the length is needed. By now you should know how to do writs and surveys and how to get them in a routine of you’ve been playing the game for years. If you have not, my videos of length are for you. Simple. But ignorance is great online. You can’t tell who’s understanding.
But good luck with forum farming and view farming. I'm sure you'll be great.
(IMO, I suspect you're making your videos long to keep people there longer looking for the worthwhile content, not listening to it. After all, they have to remain watching for a certain period of time for the view count to go up, right?)

✭✭The basic rules of being a content creator: accept that criticism will happen, ignore/ do not respond to the blatantly trolling bits, and listen to the helpful bits. Also, act at all times with class and courtesy. (Unless being angry or an A-hole is your schtick, like some creators.) So far you’ve attacked everyone who’s criticized you and insulted deaf people. Maybe step away from the screen for a bit?
