Can Mag NB be effective in PVE?

Pretty much everyone knows that top PVE dps is a sorc but I find them kinda boring and have always loved the NB class. Is there a way for them to be as effective as their sorc counterparts (if played well) or will Sorcs always be the go to if I wanna breeze through PVE

2 piece skoria. 5 julianos. 4 aether (blue jewelry) 1 heavy 1 medium 5 light.
I was amazed with that alone. Using the assassin ult on back bar lightning allows your ult to gen incredibly fast with your dots. Destro ult fire staff front bar. Great dps. Not to mention, when you get into execute range your spammable hits for over 30k. Properly light weaving and using the bow raises dps a lot.
Only gripe: i have to use spellpower pots. Lasts 48 seconds. Rarely use for trash mobs. Can be pricey if buying or making.2 -

Well. It *may* be ad you use fire front shock back, but i prefer skoria because the health bonus gets you right in the sweet spot. Also enemies can move out of illambris. The dps difference is minimal.

You mean lightning staff and force pulse? Because curse and fury are the only two class skills that provide any kind of splash damage.Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...

And also unparalleled mobility thanks to cripple. Invaluable during all the kiting phases in vAS for example.
The off heals are more than good. You want to go for a top vDSA score you could do a lot worse than picking 3 mageblade DDs and skipping the healer. Between the heals from Funnel and the Vigor from the tank, it's more than enough for skilled groups.EU | PC | AD0 -

Skoria seems to better in most situations and it gives extra health. Ilambris can do well if you run shock back bar and force pulse instead of funnel health. Although I always seem to do better with valkyn. But that's mostly testing on a dummy which is single target. Zaan will probably out parse everything but you gotta stay closedooderrr
